She said he was really nice though.
Martha Stewart broke up with Anthony Hopkins because she couldn’t get past his performance as Hannibal Lecter

What, she was afraid he was going to eat her liver with a nice Chianti and some fava beans?

He kept insisting that she wear the Hannibal Lecter mask or at the very least, put a bag over her head.

I can’t believe he dated a materialistic shrew like her. Very disappointed.

With her work ethic, r3, she can be as materialistic as she wants.

He kept calling her Clarice during sex.

Martha Stewart created a persona, and part of that was having all the best things, including homes, furnishings, horses, gardens, etc. It made her a very rich woman, as did her work ethic, as R4 points out. Does all that necessarily make her materialistic? I don't think so. Martha's best quality is being in on the joke.

Her cunt smelled like poached pears in red wine.

If that's the case, I sure eat her out.

He'll always be Pierre Bezukhov to me.

She should have had Lecter on her cooking show.

She had a good life RIP Martha.

She prefers being alone

Martha Stewart isn’t a person, she’s a CELEBRATION of shallowness and form over substance.
Appeals to a certain type of gay, I know.

I know right r11? All the people referring to her in the past tense. 😂

I thought he was a queer. Who am I thinking of?

I hadn’t heard Anthony Hopkins had gone blind. Diabetes?

Tony (as friends call him) is in person a deeply awkward and shy man. He's very kind and he has a sense of humor, but his mind wanders easily and he's like a child in an aging body.
Watch him in interviews - which he seldom gives - and you can see the wandering. He's uncomfortable with fame and other people, and he never would've lasted under Martha's crisp control. He deals with discomfort by socially withdrawing. She deals with it by conquering it.

He's autistic.

I thought this was Angie Dickinson. And I thought Angie was Martha.
Do you think Martha could have pulled off Angie’s role in Dressed to Kill?

FFS, Anthony Hopkins hasn't spoken to his only daughter in over twenty years!
[quote]The 87-year-old has one child, daughter Abigail – whom he welcomed with his first wife Petronella Barker – but the pair have reportedly not spoken in over 20 years, with Anthony previously admitting he has "not been a good father".

Martha also had an unrequited attraction with Brian Dennehy. The stars never aligned for that coupling, one or the other was married so they (allegedly) never went to Bang Town on Martha's Haitian cotton sofa from Design Research.

r16 He's not blind (he played one in a movie) but he does have the 'tism.

On a random note: I just now looked Martha up and am astonished to discover she's 5'9" or 5'9½," wears a size 10 shoe, and has a fairly hefty rack.
I've always imagined her as being petite for some reason (perhaps because of the matronly, demure, unimposing image she cultivates).

RACK?

I watched "84 Charing Cross Road" on tv years after I'd seen "Silence of the Lambs" and felt a little giddy when Hopkins goes on about wanting a little bit of MEAT.

Martha was also quoted as saying she could not get past his love of COCK 🍆
