This is General Hospital where weather controlling machines can send snow to upstate New York in August, where aliens come to town and blend in with the residents, where people coming back from the dead is just another Tuesday, where frozen popsicles come back to life on multiple occasions and where the town's mob boss is also the moral center of town.

If you want realistic, Beyond the Gates might be more your cup of tea.

Did Slee really fly cross country just to be JE's punching bag? Though it did look like Jane had a blast knocking her from every angle she could think of.

RP can't pull off a subtle evil vibe, so the show had to just linger on his vacant blank stare and drag out the old DUM-DUM-DUM background music to get their point across.

A simpler Peter August gets plastic surgery to look like his brother Nathan and puts Maxie in a coma to better hide his identity story works better for me than any Faison brain transplant storyline. And Wes and Ryan are more closely matched in acting skills.

I suppose they can't make Nathan a hero because they already have Chase.

Supposedly drinking was interfering with his performance. But that didn't make Kana stop drinking. He talked in one of his Locher Room interviews how he and Jennifer Finnigan (Bridgett) would go out drinking on the Sunset Strip after they finished a long day at B&B.

Why would Dillon come to Monica's funeral? His mother and Monica were bitter enemies for his entire life until only a few years before Monica died.

Dillon (Scott Clifton) lived in Monica's house the entire time he was in Port Charles. As I recall, Dillon and Monica had a good relationship, as did Dillon and Alan.

Don't recall that much about the other guy playing Dillon, whatever his name was. He was wrong for the part. But if I recall correctly, he also lived in Monica's house the entire time he was in town.

Josh Kelly should be playing Dillon.

Not a fan of the brain switch idea, so for now I'm continuing to assume Nathan is a clone and neither good nor evil. And yes, Wes Ramsey is coming back as the 5th Poppy and is Mr. Big Bad.

For all the talents of Eliot and Slezak, those scenes were surprisingly boring. I think it was just dull, repetitive dialogue -- even more so than usual for a soap.

I have no idea why the writers chose to shoehorn Jacinda meeting the Davis brats mere hours after Monica's memorial at the Q mansion. So weird. I did appreciate Kristina pointing out the elephant in the room -- Mikey likes whores.

Every time people gossip about Kin being a big ol' mo, I think of poor teenaged Genie having to play love scenes in a triangle with two gay guys. I thought that story would have worked better had Luke raped Scotty.

On some behind the scenes / personality profile show, Genie talks about how there was a parade of girls going through Kin's dressing room back in the day. She sounded sincere, and laughed about it, so maybe he's just an oversexed bisexual?

And from the previous thread, I always think of Billy Warlock as the more marketable version of Wesley Eure in every sense.

I don't know if Kin is gay or straight, but the one thing that seems to be definitive is that he was always up for a good time. Any time he's mentioned, especially in the 70s and 80s, it was in relation to partying and having a good time. I'm assuming he invested well, because he doesn't seem to be broke and lives a bicoastal lifestyle. Maybe Kin is down for whatever.

Perhaps Genie was doing what all actresses who work with closeted actors are required to do, blather on about what a ladies man her scene partner is.

I've never heard Genie say Kin had a parade of girls coming through his dressing room in the 70s, but I do recall Jane Elliott saying it in connection with an interview about the 50th anniversary of the show.

The WSB could have easily hacked into the Port Charles police data base to switch Nathan's DNA sample and fingerprints for that of someone else.

WSB managed to erase all records of Jack Brennan's imprisonment from PCPD and hospital. So why couldn't they have done something similar for the DNA and fingerprints?

Collette was a double agent, so she would have done it.

Rory advocating for Sofia Mattison to join him in future Zoom sessions. He sounds like a good friend. Also seems she didn't want to leave. She should have jumped on the Ozempic bandwagon. GH already has Amanda Setton filling the role of young woman with pretty face but always dressed in dowdy, baggy black clothes, didn't need another frump in Sofia. Sofia should also have learned that not she nor anyone else can get away with what KStorms gets aways with I.e. looking frumpy, taking too much time off etc.

At 41 yrs old, Ryan Paevey is still gorgeous, but so far hasn't shown to improve his acting skills. But if Nathan is phony, it perfectly suits the character.

Drew's turn to the dark side certainly has been a godsend to Cameron Matheson. Really gave him a chance to grow as an actor and stretch is acting muscles.

I think we're going to see a similar transformation with Ryan Paevey. Show is clearly taking Nathan )or whoever it is in Nathan's body) to the dark side.

Kelly seems to be getting a lot more vitriol online for returning than Ryan is. I think the reason is that Kelly was so jubilant bordering on obnoxious when she left and adamant she wasn't coming back. Now she's suddenly so enthusiastic and over the moon to be back and it's rubbing people the wrong way. Was Ryan more restrained in how happy he was to leave back then? I recall he too could be a bit obnoxious online.

Both Ryan and Kelly are included in the contract players section of the end credits as of last Friday's episode.

Kelly has been back on air since July. Ryan has been back a week. Kelly was always playing a bitchy character. Ryan was always the good guy. That may explain the differences in reactions to them online.

Cameron Matheson appeared on that terrible YT "talk show," Soapy. I never cared for him as Ryan Lavery...in fact, I feel that character's introduction was the beginning of the end. But, he seems like a really good man who has been going through a lot in his real life. I appreciate his honesty.

R58 - Sure, but this would have been 20 years past their prime. I don't think Kin was even on the show, and she wasn't even asked about his sexual proclivities. IIRC, she just blurted it out voluntarily as a funny backstage anecdote. There would have been no professional need for her to "cover" for him, and I get the feeling that they aren't particular friends offstage.

Alley was starring in a movie with Travolta as her love interest so it served a purpose. Plus there were plenty of rumors about her as well so it served a dual purpose.

R60 - It's on youtube. I'll look for it when I get a chance. It was either "Intimate Portrait" or Foundation for the Arts, something like that. It was long (four parts) and she covers a lot of ground and is surprisingly candid about the show, co-stars and herself. It was entertaining.

R62 - I really like Sasha when she started. I stopped watching for a while but when I came back (after Liam), she was suddenly strident and argumentative and just flat out cranky. Then, at times, she would be weepy and lachrymose. Not sorry she's gone.

The writers were idiots making her Robert and Holly's kid. As everyone was saying, she was a dead ringer for Celia Quartermaine and should have been HER daughter making her a Quartermaine (rather than, stupidly, the cook). Plus with the arrival of Austin, that could have dovetailed organically with a will-they/won't they because maybe their half-siblings (was Jimmy Lee or Grant her father for sure). Sigh. So much wasted potential.
