Her best role was Fatal Attraction, but that was the year the Academy wanted Cher to win. I think Cher was great in Moonstruck but Glenn Close was flat-out brilliant in FA. The roles were so different, too.

I think Holly Hunter was the runner up to Cher that year. She had won most of the critics awards for broadcast news and also got great reviews for raising Arizona.
