Dolly Parton has postponed her upcoming Las Vegas concerts, originally scheduled for December, due to "health challenges" requiring several medical procedures. The 79-year-old country music icon announced the postponement on September 28, 2025, via social media, stating that she needs time to "get show ready" and be at her best for her fans.

Parton's recent health issues also include a kidney stone and an associated infection, which led to her canceling an appearance at her Dollywood theme park earlier in September 2025. She revealed in a pre-recorded video message that her doctor advised against travel due to her recovery. This is not Parton's first experience with kidney stones; she had three removed in 2015. Fans have expressed an outpouring of support and well wishes for her recovery. The postponed Las Vegas concerts, a mini-residency at Caesars Palace, would have marked her first performances in the city since 1993. New dates for these concerts have not yet been announced, but tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored, and refunds are also available.

This news combined with the announcement that she will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Oscars, makes me think word is out in the business that she is seriously ill.

Dolly has such a lovely, direct way of expressing herself and communicating with the public. She's always very genuine and self-deprecating, but with a very slight undercurrent of grit that says she's made her statement and the subject is now closed.

She has been wearing those high heels too long and keeping her boobs strapped up too tight. She just wants to rest in he afghan and bunny slippers and paint her nail till Jolene takes her home.
