GITM is my favorite subreddit. They’re creepy stories but not necessarily “ghost stories” they’re more disturbing than that. I’m not sure if I believe the majority of the stuff on there but it is entertaining to read.

This is my favorite story from there that was removed years ago although someone saved it on this blog:

I had a bizarre story I wanted to share in that subreddit but the mods said it didn’t fit into that category. It doesn’t really fit into the ghost/supernatural subreddits either so I don’t where to share it (other than DL).

I’ve had small strange experiences throughout my life that make me believe we don’t understand the world as much as we’d like to think we do. Who knows what’s possible

I was briefly interested in the stories posted on that forum, but after a while, a lot of the people posting seem more like latent schizos/are, or soon, will lose touch with reality. And the people on the forum kind of enable it so it’s a little disturbing and not for the reasons it should be.

Weird shit happens. It's happened to me, it's happened to friends and relatives. But yeah, the GITM sub isn't what it used to be.

R8 R9 here is my story:

I was in a really dark place in my life and out of pure desperation, I prayed (I am not religious) I prayed about very specific things. I didn’t not expect anything to come of it.

The next day, I went to a restaurant. As soon as I sat down, a random woman approached me and told me that she had to deliver an urgent message to me. She didn’t know why, and she didn’t understand where this message came from. Everything she proceeded to tell me was a direct answer to what I had prayed about the night before.

She was freaked out, I was freaked out. Neither of us knew what to say. She left abruptly and I never got her name or any other info about her.

Definitely the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me.

I had my glitch surgically removed.

The NM restaurant story was posted here quite a long time ago. I think it sounds like an urban legend type thing.

R15, fromthe way that was written, I don't quite understand what was going on with the woman. Were you praying for answers and the stranger provided them? Or was it more like she had specific info on how things would work out for you?

R21 Both. I asked certain questions during my prayer and she answered them directly. I also asked how my life would turn out and the woman told me you will do X, Y and Z.

This was over 10 years ago and everything she told me came true.
