‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ (1989)- any other fans of this ridiculous movie?

I used to hate this movie with a passion back in the 90s when I first watched it. I didn’t find it funny or even entertaining. I just found it stupid in the worst way possible. But I decided to rewatch it recently and actually enjoyed it very much.

I don’t know if it’s that I mellowed out more with age or due to the times we are in, but the ridiculous and silly humor of this movie was actually fun and made me laugh. I ended up watching the sequel for the first time last night and liked it too (but not as much) and then found out there is a third movie that came out in 2020 during the pandemic. wtf. I had no idea. I watched that one too and it’s the worst one but still entertaining.

Anyone else enjoy these movies?

I was obsessed with Keanu as a kid and even I could only watch it a couple of times. I rewatched years later and liked way more too

I could not stop laughing because the grim reaper was following them around. I remember Keau saying " come on death let's go". And death begrudgingly say " alright ". Hilarious!

I liked Billy the Kid and Socrates becoming best buds.

I think NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM copied that years later with Jedediah (cowboy) and Octavius (Roman soldier) becoming besties.

R6 seems like that's been a trope long before either this two movies.
