Trump moves to declassify Amelia Earhart records
President Trump told his administration on Friday to declassify any federal records about Amelia Earhart, the pilot whose 1937 disappearance over the Pacific Ocean has drawn decades of public fascination.
Trump wrote:
"I have been asked by many people about the life and times of Amelia Earhart, such an interesting story, and would I consider declassifying and releasing everything about her, in particular, her last, fatal flight! She was an Aviation Pioneer, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and achieved many other Aviation “firsts.” She disappeared in the South Pacific while trying to become the first woman to fly around the World. Amelia made it almost three quarters around the World before she suddenly, and without notice, vanished, never to be seen again. Her disappearance, almost 90 years ago, has captivated millions. I am ordering my Administration to declassify and release all Government Records related to Amelia Earhart, her final trip, and everything else about her. Thank you for your attention to this matter!"

Now do the Epstein files Trump, you promised to release all of the FBI's investigative files when you ran for President.
And no the grand jury testimony is not the investigative files, in fact the judge who refused to release the Grand Jury testimony said the DOJ is free to release what they have, so don't come to him asking to release the Grand Jury testimony when you have it all and can release it yourself.

Pan American Airways, with assistance from the US Navy, was mapping the Pacific for commercial air service in the 1930’s while the Japanese Navy was simultaneously surveying Pacific islands and atolls for military use. The potential stops had been mapped, but both sides of the eventual conflict were attempting to determine which could be developed as ports and airfields, ostensibly for commercial purposes but soon enough for military use.
The USN had pre-positioned ships along her expected route to offer radio direction finding and communications. These vessels were used to search for Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, when radio transmissions ceased. When her plane was lost, the United States did not want Japan to know how deeply they were involved in the effort to chart the Pacific Ocean nor how useful that information would be within a few years.

As soon as he mentions someone or something on social media, the MAGA rubes scurry to find out all about it and become half-assed “experts” on the subject.

[quote] Why is everyone assuming she was gay?
From Wikipedia:
[quote]Putnam, who was known as GP, was divorced in 1929 and sought out Earhart, proposing to her six times before she agreed to marry him. Earhart referred to her marriage as a "partnership" with "dual control"; in a letter to Putnam and hand-delivered to him on the day of the wedding, she wrote:
[quote]I want you to understand I shall not hold you to any midaevil [sic] code of faithfulness to me nor shall I consider myself bound to you similarly ... I may have to keep some place where I can go to be by myself, now and then, for I cannot guarantee to endure at all times the confinement of even an attractive cage.
Could that “some place where I can go to be by myself” actually have been a den of lesbians? Perhaps the files will shed light.
