Amazing Race 38: Big Brother Edition

I love The Amazing Race so much, but I HATE these CBS cross-promotional seasons with Big Brother contestants.

Particularly because I hate Big Brother.

I want to say that I won't be watching, but I might give it a peek sometime down the road.

Just not tonight.

I'm annoyed by the Big Brother angle this season.

The cast.

I'm really happy Turner's back - he was welcome comic relief on BB during his season (he now lives in my city).

I will stick with this season so long as Kyland is on the show. I'm still in love with that guy. Can't believe he's Taylor Teeth's romantic partner these days.

Amazing Race used to be my favorite show. Watching the shitshow it has become makes me sad. How many fucking closet cases does one season need? I have to listen to Kyland and Joseph talk about dating women? What the fuck?

They probably assume everyone knows the contestants because they're already so "famous" from being on Big Brother.

Give me a break. I haven't watched Big Brother since Dr. Will, Mike Boogie, Janelle, and Kaysar.

It could be worse. I saw that repulsive Johnny Fairplay on another game show yesterday.

He claimed fame for his dead grandmother lie.

No mention of him urinating up some woman's bum or taking a dump on some other woman's head while she slept, - happened on one of those low-rent reality shows .

Only half the cast is from BB nearly all their partners are new to us.

Not interested if Chicken George is not one of the contestants.

Megans parents must have been thrilled when she dragged Matt to their doorstep.

R11 They may have mistaken him as a stray cat.

They seem amazed that a greenhouse is warm.

Kat's boyfriend must either be rich or have a huge dick.

Matt and Megan seem like the weird couple who post "home videos" of themselves online.

Izzy is already annoying. Just run your own race.

Which one is Turner? Is his partner named Hooch?

It’s refreshing that we have Izzy for the lesbians to drool over.

Some of these couples make a good argument for involuntary sterilization.

Izzy declared she and her wife are there 'for the queers' when she introduced herself to the others in the beginning. Everyone just looked at her - it didn't have the impact she thought it would have in 2025.

I hate Big Brother, too. And this group are the worst.

At least this is a game where they have to do something besides sit on their fat asses and plot against each other.

Right now the only ones I hate are the old fat blonde and her daughter and the girl who has so much lip injection she looks deformed.

Janelle Pierzina (who raced on season 31), Xavier Prather, and Danielle Reyes were considered but declined due to a low appearance fee offer.

Josh Martinez and his sister Maytee Martinez were in the mix but were cut.

Cory Wurtenberger and his brother, Survivor 42 castaway Zach Wurtenberger, were alternates that did not make the final cast.

So sad to see Enzo and his brother being the first eliminated in the race. I loved Enzo on Big Brother and thought his humr and accent so funny. Guess he just pooped out of energy over the years. RIP Enzo!

How many people did Angela encounter who she thought had crazy eyes? When Phil tells her she is eliminated from the race she should tell him he has crazy eyes.

Did CBS cut their budget so much that they had to limit the race to Europe? That annoys me more than a cast made up of ex BB players (none of whom I know). It's like we're back in the Covid seasons.

It's just sad...and annoying. If you want to enjoy AR again, search out Amazing Race Australia, Celebrity Edition, which is playing right now. It's a great season, and the teams are all really wonderful, even the reality "stars." (Though there are only a few of those.) And yes, I've never heard of any of the celebrities...

I didn't even make it through the opening seconds. As soon I heard BB I tapped out. I've never seen a second of BB.

I was a devoted BB watcher for the first 15 years or so, then wearied of the time commitment required. The only one in this cast with whom I had any familiarity was Enzo.

R43 Isn’t it “pans” meaning he’ll never date a guy he’ll just get down every once in a while.

This season is almost as lame and gimmicky as the TAR: Family Edition one, the Middle America season where they were mostly confined to racing in FlyOverLand. Part of the fun of the show is seeing the rest of the world, not just Europe.

I think the producers thought that they could increase viewership by adding BB viewers. I don't know but my guess is that a large majority of BB viewers already watched TAR and they are likely to turn off some TAR viewers with a BB cast. I think a better idea would have been a mix of BB, past TAR racers and Survivor players with a mix of new people. Give every one a little of what they want.

With almost half the cast not being BB players but their friends or family instead, this season it doesn't seem quite so much a entire cast of BB players.

I watch BB, Survivor and TAR faithfully, but just because you were on a season of BB doesn’t make you memorable enough to do TAR. Some of these players I’m having a hard time placing. I do remember Enzo of course and I was sorry to see him eliminated first. I’ve had more than my share of Taylor Hale who just hosted BB Unlocked. I don’t care for her and her huge ego. I was underwhelmed with the first episode to be honest.

Tucker is still hot but damn! His brother Eric is sex on a stick.

The girls turned on the boys. The boys turned on the girls. Emily turned on Kevin Frazier. The groom wanted to fuck the friend...The mutant New Zealander accused his wife of fucking her ex. The fem who wore his wifes pearls and earrings. The hairy bear who wouldn't fuck his wife....etc etc.

This is the worst season ever. And I say that as someone who watched the last season of Scandal.
