Rock Hudson was supposed to star opposite Gina Lollobrigida in Blindfold but got stuck with Claudia who he considered a poor replacement. Unlike Gina who he adored . They did not get along off screen and had zero on screen chemistry.

And it worked.

I thought she died five years ago. And then I remembered that since I'm a teeny weenie gayling I always got her mixed up with Marie Laforêt, but I didn't know why. Well, until today. Today that is. Because today, for the first time, I compared the way they used to look in their glorious years and I was like "they actually look a lot alike: brunettes olive skin,,striking green(ish) eyes, gorgeous faces, soft features. Well, except for one thing: the fact that Marie Laforêt had more the Ozempic version of Claudia Cardinal's face, years before Ozempic face became a thing. Anyway I liked them both and am/was saddened by their passing.

R66, Marie Laforêt was scrawny compared to the voluptuous Cardinale. She also had a very successful career as a pop/rock/folk singer. Cardinale did not. I would have never confused the two, but that's just me, since I was dazzled by Cardinale since first seeing her in "The Pink Panther." I've only seen Laforêt in "Plein Soleil" and wasn't particularly impressed.
