Tariff kicked in

Good Sense gallon plastic twist tie bags. Formerly 1.00 for 40 count at any dollar store.

Now, 20.00 at Walmart!!!

You sure it didn't say $2.00 ? I can understand double the price.

by Anonymousreply 1September 20, 2025 10:39 PM

Online for pickup, anyone can see it.

by Anonymousreply 2September 20, 2025 10:45 PM

They have gone up significantly… but a 40count pack of those food storage bags was never ever $1.

by Anonymousreply 3September 20, 2025 10:53 PM

They sure were at 99 cent, went to 1.25 at Dollar Tree. Now they don’t even carry them.

by Anonymousreply 4September 20, 2025 11:00 PM

I bought 28 30-gallon drawstring trash bags at Walgreens they were under $8. Manufactured and distributed by the GLAD Products Company made in the USA with US and Canadian Resin

ShopRite:

"Good Sense 30 Gal. Large Trash Bags with Flap Ties, 30 count: $3.99"

by Anonymousreply 8September 21, 2025 12:31 AM

The trash bag pricing you saw isn't because of tariffs, it's because Walmart and Amazon allow predatory third-party sellers to target unsavvy shoppers. In this case it's a third-party seller who price gouges assorted cleaning products from dollar stores.

Oh, dear-ing my typo (it should've said "twist tie," not "trash"), but if you search Walmart's website for Great Value Twist Tie Storage Bags, Gallon, 100 Count, you'll find prices in the $3 to $4 range for much of the US. If you'd like to track the rise of Walmart's prices, you can do so at Aisle Gopher. Coffee is one of the everyday items that should show a decent jump.

OP - WalMart has them online for $3.67 for the same size and quantity.

You buy cow ears for your Cavalier?

That dog must have a huge mouth, EL @ R5!

by Anonymousreply 12September 21, 2025 2:09 AM

It takes him a good long time to eat one R12.

by Anonymousreply 13September 21, 2025 10:05 AM

OP, you're not much of a shopper. R9 is correct.

by Anonymousreply 14September 21, 2025 3:48 PM

Will the maroon OP come back and own their stupidity?

I think not.
