He’s putting a spotlight on liberal hypocrisy. Disney fired Roseanne and Gina Carano. It would be hypocritical for them to NOT fire him.

Kimmel’s show certainly would have been canceled next year, it has terrible numbers because network television is dying and shows with live audiences are expensive to produce.

It wasn't even about Charlie Kirk. Kimmel showed a clip of a reporter asking Trump how he was holding up after Charlie Kirk's murder. Trump said he was holding up well, then immediately started talking about building that stupid ballroom at the White House. Kimmel said that's not the reaction one has when they've lost a close friend. That's a reaction a kid has when they lose their pet goldfish.

That was it. I seriously doubt Kimmel thought that was gonna get him suspended.

So Kimmel's off the air, but Brian Kilmeade, who said on the air that homeless vets should be euthanized, is still on TV.

I don't think people realize the incredibly dangerous situation our country is in right now.

Extremely little is known about Tyler Robinson’s motivations (I contend he’s a patsy). Had Kimmel criticized MAGA because so little is known about Robinson, there would have been nothing controversial about it. That is not what he did.

He knew what he was doing, he knew he would get fired. He wanted to get fired because he was jealous of all the attention Colbert got.

I Applied for a Flight Attendant Job For Grins and Giggles. Now I've Made it to the Final Stage. Oh, Shit.

A little background - a dimbulb co-worker of mine applied to be a flight attendant a few months ago. She told me it was her dream job. I was sure she wouldn't get it, but one day, she came to work all giddy that she was selected and was on her way to flight training.

I thought, "Wow. The airlines must be desperate," so just for fun, I thought I'd apply and see what the experience was like. I was shocked - shocked, I tell you - to make it to the final phase. Now they want to fly me to Texas for a full-day interview. Honestly, I have no desire to be a flight attendant, but part of me wants the free flight and the chance to see if I can make it to the end.

Is that wrong of me?

Police BodyCam Videos

I've been laid up with the flu for the past week and have gone down the YouTube rabbit hole watching police bodycam videos, everything from DUI arrests to drunks getting kicked out of bars to ex-girlfriends stalking their ex-boyfriends. Most of the videos are hilarious (and most take place in Floriduh, of course), and I love how all the people who get arrested inevitably shriek, "I didn't do anything!" as the handcuffs are placed on them. It's also fun watching deadbeats without a dime scream, "I'm calling my attorney," as if these WalMart rejects have a lawyer on retainer.

Anybody else get oddly entertained by these?

It’s possible Kimmel knew what he was doing. He and Colbert are both set for life. Late night shows have dwindling numbers. Why not add fuel to the discourse? I don’t think it’s that simple, though. It’s the ideological shift in who’s in control, and that shifts with governments. And you can’t compare what he said against what people like Roseanne said, but you can compare the network reaction. At the end of the day they only care about who’s offended to the extent that it affects $hareholders. They don’t censor, they stop the loss of ad revenue. Ultimately, though, pandering to far right ideology is probably not the soundest business plan. Eventually, people will push back really hard on the United States of Russia-Korea. And it ain’t MAGA keeping Paramount, Disney, et al afloat.
