Drinking lots of water regularly really does wonders for one’s skin!

I know, vapid thread, but I want some vapid stuff to ponder upon right now, and perhaps, so do you?

I’ve been drinking tons of water as of late, as part of my weight loss goals, & let me tell ya, it does wonders for my skin.

I love it!

Everything looks more radiant & smooth.

Yeah, I’m adjusting to pissing more than usual, but even that’s becoming less of an issue, and it also does wonders for the joints.

Just thought I’d share.

Zero calories, & easily accessible to us all, for now…

I’ve been drinking tons of water for a decade. It just makes me sweat a lot.

by Anonymousreply 1September 18, 2025 5:49 AM

Really, R1?

How odd.

Do you work a manual labor job?

by Anonymousreply 2September 18, 2025 6:14 AM

Are you in your twenties? Water isn’t a skincare panacea when you’re old.

by Anonymousreply 3September 18, 2025 6:17 AM

Does tea count?

by Anonymousreply 4September 18, 2025 6:44 AM

Water works!

by Anonymousreply 5September 18, 2025 7:32 AM

R3, no. Not in my 20s.

I’m older, & don’t look like a crypt keeper. I take good care of my skin.

My skin is responding quite well to lots of water, as is my body.

Hydrate, eat your vegetables, don't smoke, go really light on the alcoholic beverages, exercise, don't hang out in the sun without protection, try to maintain a BMI that's not in the underweight or obese categories, and get regular checkups with your doctor and dentist. You'll look and feel better and even if you're going through a period where your life sucks, it'll suck a lot less.

by Anonymousreply 7September 18, 2025 12:04 PM

Agree, OP. I drink more than a gallon a day.

by Anonymousreply 8September 18, 2025 5:16 PM

The father of one of my pals growing up was a urologist. Eating lunch over there one day, there was a big pitcher of water near the doc. He said, “Boys, drink a pitcher of this everyday and you won’t have come see me at my office..”

I never forgot it and I drink a lot of water daily.

Also important to prevent cramping. I was having some serious, painful cramping in my calf. I asked my doctor about taking potassium or magnesium. Start drinking more water first was the advice and it worked like a charm. I haven't had cramping since. The rule I follow is drinking one half your body weight in ounces. It's hard, especially in the winter months.

by Anonymousreply 10September 18, 2025 5:39 PM

Let's just say, it can't hurt.

by Anonymousreply 11September 18, 2025 5:42 PM

Agreed, R7.

No alcohol for me, however.

I’ve struggled a lot with it in my life, & it’s not something I want for myself.

Yeah. Times are gonna get rough in the next few years, but the same goes for everyone, so drinking isn’t going to make that any better.

I’m working on the cigs. Now that I’m getting serious about my health, it will come soon enough. That’s how it worked for me last time. I got serious about my food intake, exercising, & within a few months, I quit smoking, because it just didn’t work anymore.

Thanks for the advice here for me, and all of us.

Drinking lots of water is one of the few really healthy things that comes naturally to me. I'm not sure when I first developed the habit, but I keep a glass or mug nearby and sip from it frequently throughout the day whenever I'm thirsty. Seems to help with avoiding charley horses and joint pains.

Enjoy the forever chemicals in tap water.

And the microplastics in bottled.

by Anonymousreply 14September 18, 2025 8:46 PM

Speak for yourself.

by Anonymousreply 15September 18, 2025 8:49 PM

All water does is make me tinkle a lot

by Anonymousreply 16September 18, 2025 9:59 PM

Good, OP! I'm glad for you! You just need to incorporate some Collagen tabs and fast several times per month to trigger Autophagy, and you'll be golden, ole timer!

by Anonymousreply 17September 18, 2025 10:48 PM

Water helps you poop the next morning!

by Anonymousreply 18September 18, 2025 10:59 PM

Sure does, R18!

by Anonymousreply 19September 18, 2025 11:07 PM

Between thyroid problems, BP diuretics, and the increasingly lasting heat I am a walking (and standing) drinking fountain.

by Anonymousreply 20September 19, 2025 3:11 AM

Lots of water makes you pee a lot. Besides that, drink up.

by Anonymousreply 21September 19, 2025 4:56 AM

Water indeed works

by Anonymousreply 22September 19, 2025 12:04 PM

I'm 64 and and skin is creamy smooth. Team water.

by Anonymousreply 23September 19, 2025 4:11 PM

I just saw a cute gay dermatologist on Youtube say that OP's claim is total bullshit. It's a short so OP probably wont figure out how to see it.
