Vogue shows the Emmys fashions on the red carpet
A great comprehensive photographic array of the outfits.
My favorite guy's outfit belongs to (of all people) Seth Rogan (40/165). That rust color really works for him.
My favorite women's dresses were on Britt Lower (84) and Aliyah Mastin (113), both in dresses that were neither too dull nor too showstopping. My favorite dramatic look was Zuri Hall (155).
Too many of the men are wearing goofy-looking deconstructed suits and tuxedos--they're too much. Jon Gries (98) and Paul W. Downs (115) and Gerran Howell (132) look like fools. the only one I liked was Scott Evans's at 145--he is a handsome man.
Among the traditional-but-boring outfits, Shawn Hatosy (142) looked gorgeous in an ordinary tux, and Cooper Koch (25) looked handsome in a dark brown double-breasted tux. Brittany Snow (16) had a very pretty pink gown of a somewhat ordinary cut that would have been improved with some well-chosen jewelry.
Lots of people wore colors that did not suit them: Carrie Coons (3) in baby blue, Michelle Williams (57) in off-white, Jean Smart (76) in forest green.
Jennie Oretga (1) wanted to look the most dramatic, but for my money she was beaten by Erin Doherty (18) looking like a vinyl black church bell.

Pedro Pascal's smugness is hopefully a sign of his impending downfall. He has been wearing his welcome out for a while now.

None of these people are stars. They’re basically influencer trash.

I thought Jon Gries looked terrific in Jacquemus. Very fashion forward, very chic and elegant.
I was shocked to find out he's 68. He looks early 50s at most.

A lot of the dresses seem unremarkable to me, like they have all been seen before and done better.

They're not supposed to be cutting edge necessarily.
This is an awards ceremony, not a spring couture fashion show.

I never realized what a tiny little thing Carrie Coon is. It must be the booming Bertha voice that makes her seem bigger. I don't think the pixie cut really works for her, but otherwise her dress was lovely.

Agree, r6.
Elegant, with just the right touch of drama provided by what looks like velvet.
It used to be that velvet was only worn late November through NY Eve.
I used to be a stickler for the old rule where certain fabrics were worn only at certain times of the year, but I've seen velvet even in summer and I'm surprised that I think it can look good.

I think Sheryl Lee Ralph looks fantastic, especially because she is wearing the dress, not vice versa. She looks comfortable and confident and I’m sure she primped for hours, but it comes across as though she could look that put together every day. And it’s age appropriate, but she still looks decades younger than her actual age.
Kristin Bell looks like Tonya Harding.
Chris Meloni’s tie dyed suit is stupid, but he looks hot.
Catherine O’Hara’s dress is great, but she looks way too thin.
Parker Posey managed to look terrible on multiple levels. The dress is ugly and unflattering. Her hair color clashed and her hair looks limp and in styled. The huge statement necklace is completely out of sync with everything else.
Mariska Hargitay looks spectacular, but not sold on velvet in LA in August. Especially in a color that’s often see at holiday parties.
Similar with Seth Rogan. It’s too autumnal. And I know it’s technically fall, but it’s only September and it’s not like it’s leaf peeping season in LA. It’s like a Halloween or Thanksgiving outfit.
So many of the dresses are not particularly interesting AND notably unflattering. I don’t understand that. If you aren’t going to an unusual attention grabbing statement outfit, why not pick a tried and true silhouette that flatters you? A lot of limp, dull hair, too.

I don't mind Carrie Coon's haircut but she looks better as a brunette.

I love Britt Lower, and to me, she has a definite lesbionic vibe.
She's very secretive about her private life, so...

Gomez is playing the Jolie game: big flowy dresses to disguise her anorexic body.
She looks skeletal.
How tall is she?

Lauren Graham is trying very hard to look younger than Alexis
Lorne looks so, so old.
Jenny Ortega is spectacular!
Carrie Coon is unrecognizable.
Catherine O’Hara is too thin, it ages her so much.

I’ll never understand Sweeney’s appeal.
Yeah, I get it . She’s got a fantastic rack and figure but that morose, plain face?
I just don’t see her face as even near pretty. In fact, she looks like a bit “challenged”.

But? All anyone cares about is the rack.
She's the most successful walking giant rack in Hollywood since Raquel Welch.

Is there some kind of sweeping hair and makeup artist strike happening right now that we didn't hear about? Every woman on the red carpet looked like they got ready in the limo en route to the red carpet with nothing but a Cover Girl eyeshadow palette and a can of Alberto VO5 mousse.

Zanna Rassi Roberts, all I know is she works at a fashion mag because she was on Project Runway, her arms are like twigs. I think I could circle them with my thumb and forefinger. Way too thin

Sydney Sweeney and Rita Ora probably used the same stylist. Ugh. I actually like what Katherine Zeta Jones wore. Jean Smart and Kathy Bates brought it. They both looked great. Mother if the bride ish but great. Some of these dresses look so cheap. Polyester- jersey- knit- cheap.
Why diidn't they put Colin Farrell and his adorable son Henry in this article?

Kristin has terrible taste. She looks like she wants to dress like Bianca Jagger or Linda Evangelista, but she’s short, skinny, and pear-shaped.
