How does this work? You pay once it’s delivered? That seems to be how it works although do you get a notice to pay in the mail? Some are saying the postal carrier charges you like the old COD. It just started this month. No one can seem to figure this out. Thanks Trump.
Anyone else being told by eBay that they’re going to have to pay tariff tax for items shipped from outside the US

It's up the individual EBay sellers to post the tarriff taxes on each item purchased. I got a nasty surprise when an item I was buying from UK only showed the sizable tariff as lumped in with total not itemized. Of course I did not go through with purchase. This will cripple many small foreign sellers on EBay, Esty and other such sites.

This is what happened because Trump eliminated the deminimus exception which was exploited by Shein/Temu and their ilk (Amazon is really pissed they missed that boat). I had to laugh when I received some samples from my Chinese manufacturer and then a tariff bill from FedEx for $6.40: $4.40 of it was their brokerage fee and I was assessed the minimum $1 per item. Really stupid solution to a problem that was otherwise easily solved, but that would take education, experience and nuance.... which no one in the Trump administration has.

My business is shipping things from EU back to the states. You will usually be sent an email of duties owed before delivery. You can pay online. That's the easiest, most seamless way.
And R1 I have no idea of how some small foreign seller is going to be able to decipher the Harmonized Tarrif Schedule (HTS) linked below. It is so arcane and not easily searchable to know exactly what the duty will be. IF you are able to find the description of what you are looking for, add 15% on top of that - IF it's coming from the EU. The extra percentage varies on the country.
I just know that a leather handbag (4202.21.9000) was 9% until recently. Now it is 24%. So tariffs on a $3000 handbag were $270, now they are $720. And for major brands that produce in Europe, yes, this will eventually be passed on to the consumer. Tons of money is supposedly coming in from the Tariffs according to Trump - he fails to mention that the average American is paying for that. The companies won't continue to eat the cost out of the goodness of their hearts.
