Tasteful Friends: Be Blinded by Luxury and Knockoff Baccarat Chandeliers in this $14M Miami Residence

They finally let you onto Fisher Island - with the Bushes? The Jeb Bushes? - but you're sadly saddled with this compound of three residences connected by an enormous open rooftop patio. Seriously, you could land a Soviet helicopter out there, and yet you still have to share a pool with the rest of the building.

I'm not sure what the owner's fixation on sculpture is, but she has shitty taste all around. The varnished walls are blinding. The carved marble sinks next to the Home Depot toilets are unsettling. And the proximity to the shipping channel means ten thousand sunburned Midwesterners will see your TV as they glide by each week.

What's with all the lacquered veneer?

by Anonymousreply 1September 14, 2025 2:49 AM

Not absolutely hideous, but it’s a bit much.

by Anonymousreply 2September 14, 2025 2:49 AM

Absolutely hideous.

The decor screams to guests, "GO HOME! GET OUT OF HERE!" No good can come of it.

by Anonymousreply 4September 14, 2025 2:54 AM

All that money, and absolutely no taste.

Or class.

by Anonymousreply 5September 14, 2025 2:55 AM

There certainly is quite a bit going on there.

by Anonymousreply 6September 14, 2025 3:20 AM

Even before getting into any deep details, just generally the white with the brown is NOT working for me, even tough it's hardly a rare home color combo.

by Anonymousreply 7September 14, 2025 3:24 AM

Jeeze that's a lot of lacquered woodwork. It's in every single room in the house including the bathrooms.

by Anonymousreply 8September 14, 2025 3:39 AM

That was rough. My eyes! Any tips on how to unsee this disaster?

Watch the assassination video again R9?

by Anonymousreply 10September 14, 2025 3:42 AM

There’s also an obsession with long white leather sofas. Is there one in every room? And not one looks inviting.

Not exactly cozy. Looks like it’s ready for shooting screaming matches and weave-pulling scenes in Real Housewives.

The polish on those floors. Do people have to wear surgical booties over their shoes before they can walk around the place. It's too tasteful to be Eastern European/Russian. Gulf states owner?

Followed by the widow's casket dance, r9 and r10. I know I'm probably in the minority, but I was more freaked out by her video and making private mourning so public and dramatic.

by Anonymousreply 12September 14, 2025 3:48 AM

Ugh - summarizes why I hate Miami. Ugly excess for excess’ sake. For which people are willing to pay insane amounts of money. I don’t get it - but it appeals to someone I guess.

by Anonymousreply 13September 14, 2025 3:49 AM

I watched it, R9, and let me tell you, this listing is way more painful to witness.

You might be onto something R12. The décor looks like something you would expect to find inside a private jet.

She and the MAGA cunts are milking it for all it's worth. I expect her to be given a Fox News position or similar right wing network and be made a MAGA Queen widow martyr.

by Anonymousreply 15September 14, 2025 3:53 AM

dreadful but cost a fortune.

by Anonymousreply 16September 14, 2025 3:53 AM

Don't cha just love Art Deco? And zebra wood? Oh, I do wood when it's stripey and shiny like glass!

by Anonymousreply 17September 14, 2025 4:10 AM

I like it

by Anonymousreply 18September 14, 2025 4:28 AM

Its very Miami. In that it is perfect . I love quite a bit of it,but all together its just too much. I couldnt imagine raising a child in there . I saw a crib in one of the pics. Its cold. Like a museum. Oh but in the bad old days id have adored it . I was such a glitzy queen.
