I did not know until this week she even had a spin off show. Even when Alice premiered she looked about 45 years old even though she was only about 38 years old.

Dick Clair and Jenna McMahon couldn't stop creating series in the late '70s, early '80s. They also wrote the pilots for Facts of Life, It's a Living, and Mama's Family.
All heavily revamped after their initial "vision."
Except Flo didn't last long enough to be revamped.
