By the way, r18, I don't have a particular theory on why Robinson did what he did and believe it would be better to wait for the evidence. But the little we know so far suggests he was what could be called a "misfit", a great student with a scholarship who for some reason dropped out of university after one semester, whose only publicly known comment on Charlie Kirk was that Kirk is full of hate. He also seems to trust his roommate a lot, and gave him information about what he did. He doesn't appear to have a strong social media presence.

I agree with r9- political assassinations have no place in a democracy, doesn’t matter how much you disagree with their views. This is not some Latin America banana republic in the mid 20th century. "Charlie Kirk is full of hate" is a battle cry of the groypers, the followers of Nick Fuentes who beefed heavily with CK the past few years. Those two groups really hated each other. Tupac vs. Biggie is apt.

The chances that Robinson was a part of that group, rather than radical-lefty Antifa (in rural Utah?) are fairly strong. If I were a betting person, that's where I'd go.

I thought same. Trump etc. were salivating at the prospect of martyring CK just a day ago, screaming about suppressing leftists and threatening anyone with a negative opinion of him. Today, as the investigation in Utah progresses and they probably have inside knowledge of the shooter's actual leanings/beliefs, you hear crickets.

If they can't monetize or drum up support from CK's killing - which they can't, if it turns out to be an insider beef gone sideways - they'll drop CK (and his grasping widow) like hot potatoes.

I don't know if it's the roommate's TikTok, but the first thing I noticed was one of the videos showed the account owner is a furry. A furry joke was supposedly engraved on one of the bullets. Most of the videos are from 2023 and earlier, and OP's link says the roommate is currently transitioning, which makes it sound more recent than that.

Based on what little is known about the roommate so far, they've been fully cooperative and even provided the necessary evidence for law enforcement to seek the death penalty against Robinson. In other words, if Fox News is correct (which isn't something anyone should take for granted), a trans woman delivered justice for Kirk, whose (already weird) last words just got even weirder.

Tyler Robinson was autistic. The roommate - who he likely did not have a physical relationship with - was also autistic. They were probably compatible because autistic people get along better with each other than others. Autistic people are also 700 times more likely to identify as transgender or nonbinary. Autistic people are also more likely to be drawn to non traditional sexualities (BDSM, anime characters, furries, mermaids).

Tyler Robinson fits the pattern of an isolated autistic person with a deep inner world and black and white thinking. He was drawn into extreme right-wing 4chan/groyper culture and it reached the natural culmination in Kirk’s assassination.

I want to correct myself at r23 and r27. It was the family member who said that Kirk is full of hate, not Tyler Robinson, although Tyler seems to have been in agreement with the relative.

If your theory is true, r37, then Tyler killed Kirk to avenge his trans roommate.

Whether or not this particular killing was trans-related or not (not enough evidence so far, photos of the roommate don't indicate he was trans) - why is the far right so hyper-fixated on connecting every violent incident to trans people or ideology? At one point he seems to have been living at an apartment (the parents have a house) in Washington, Utah. I couldn't locate dates for his residencies; the apartment/condo was the latest listed but, as said, the parents said he lived at their place.
