But the little we know so far suggests he was what could be called a "misfit", a great student with a scholarship who for some reason dropped out of university after one semester, whose only publicly known comment on Charlie Kirk was that Kirk is full of hate. He also seems to trust his roommate a lot, and gave him information about what he did. He doesn't appear to have a strong social media presence.

They were probably compatible because autistic people get along better with each other than others. Autistic people are also 700 times more likely to identify as transgender or nonbinary. Those are just observations, not a theory. Law enforcement hasn't shared enough credible information about his politics to fully understand his beliefs or what motivated them. Whether or not Tyler's roommate is trans, and is/isn't his gf, the overwhelming influence on his shooting of Kirk - whatever his views - was his gun-soaked upbringing in deep red rural southern Utah.
