Kash Patel ripped into FBI agents in profanity-laced online meeting

The Wednesday blunder has cost Patel. Several MAGA allies criticized the director over his leadership, casting doubt on whether he was the right person to head the FBI.

“He performed terribly in the last few days, and it’s not clear whether he has the operational expertise to investigate, infiltrate, and disrupt the violent movements—of whatever ideology—that threaten the peace in the United States,” conservative activist Chris Rufo wrote on X.

Patel joined the FBI after a career as a federal prosecutor and Defense Department chief of staff. His lack of law enforcement experience led to some former GOP officials’ reservations against him stepping into the position.

Steve Bannon, a former Trump administration adviser, said he didn’t see the shooter’s apprehension as “great law enforcement work” speaking on his “Bannon’s War Room” show directly after the conference.

“I don’t know why Kash flew out there, you know, thousands of miles, to give us, ‘Hey, working partnerships and our great partnership in Utah’ — OK, got that,” Bannon said.

It would be so degrading getting upbraided by this sawed-off little poser.

All sorts of very high up MAGA politicians and MAGA influencers are openly calling for Patel to be fire because he has handled the Kirk shooting so badly - his personal behavior - not the FBI employees.

Patel announced incorrect information a number of times. The killer's father turned him into police. Patel was beyond embarrassing at those press conferences. It was terrible. I don't know how anyone is supposed to take the FBI seriously when they clearly serve only to protect the Trump administration and are run by 4Chan and QAon freaks. It's a fucking disaster.

The FBI director can be fired by the president at any time.

Trump would never fire Kash. Kash is everything Trump ever wanted in an FBI Director. He won’t end up with another Comey or Christopher Wray. R25 But to further the premise of seeing things the way Trump does, if Kash's incompetence continues to get the media's attention and starts to make Trump himself look bad, Trump will dump Kash in a nanosecond.

He wants OBEDIENCE not competence. And the mission is not to fight crime. It is to purge federal law enforcement and the military of anyone not loyal to Trump in order to turn them into partisan weapons loyal to MAGA. A professional would not do that.

J. Edgar Hoover was despicable. That noted, he was THE master of institutional PR.
