Does FFing a post automatically get you banned from posting?

This has happened to me a few times—I FF a single post that has homophobic or racist content, and the next thing I know I'm not able to post or start new threads for a day or so. What's the point of the FF button if using it gets you banned?

by Anonymousreply 16September 13, 2025 8:11 PM

That is my experience, OP, but I think it’s more than just one FF. I almost think it’s a function baked in that’s intended to keep you from abusing the FF function. But if you didn’t know that for sure, then how are you supposed to moderate your use accordingly.

You have a very limited number of daily FF. I don't think it matters if YOU FF someone else's post and should not affect your ability to post. Timeouts occur if YOUR posts have been FF enough to trigger a timeout.

I hadn't FF'd anyone in weeks, if not months—getting banned before made me wary, but apparently yesterday morning one FF was enough.

Unless R2 is right and it was I who was getting FF'd—though I don't know why; I don't think I was posting any antagonistic comments.

The limited number of daily FF is the means the website uses to ensure they are not being abused.

I've been here as a paying member for more than a decade and I've never experienced any type of ban. OP, sounds like a personal problem.

by Anonymousreply 5September 12, 2025 9:25 PM

No, but it made my pubes fall out.

by Anonymousreply 6September 12, 2025 9:26 PM

HELLO, I only post I ever "FF" on here was a month ago when I "FF'ed" one of the

Miss Mendes's thousands of posts about his alleged Heterosexuality& how hott he is.

by Anonymousreply 7September 12, 2025 9:32 PM

For the record, I've been a paying member for more than two decades and this has only first happened to me in the last few months. As for any personal problem, you can check my posting history—I've mixed it up with people posting inaccuracies and the like, but that hasn't gotten me suspended. Yesterday what seemed to trigger it was my FFing another poster.

by Anonymousreply 8September 12, 2025 9:47 PM

I've only been able to post a couple days in September. Otherwise it's 'the message'.

If I'm just going to be a 'reader', then there's no need to pay the $1.99 again.

by Anonymousreply 9September 12, 2025 10:33 PM

This is my first post back after a two-day suspension. Don't know what I said or did to bring it on. I very seldom FF anyone, so I don't think that's it. I wish we could actually see our FFs like we see our WWs. Then we'd at least know if we were pissing people off. That said, I'd probably still rather have an edit function to fix my typos!

by Anonymousreply 10September 12, 2025 10:37 PM

R5 is the obligatory cunt of the thread. Congrats, R5.

by Anonymousreply 11September 12, 2025 10:39 PM

To R10-I totally fucking agree, I would rather have an edit button too!!

by Anonymousreply 12September 13, 2025 3:52 AM

I knew a woman who FFed someone once. She’s dead now.

by Anonymousreply 13September 13, 2025 4:21 AM

yes, every time i FF, im suspended for 2 days.

by Anonymousreply 14September 13, 2025 4:38 AM

No. I use FF sparingly, but I have used it many times over the years without suspension.

by Anonymousreply 15September 13, 2025 7:18 PM

If you plan on getting FF'd regularly, you need to start small.
