Here’s the story.
I don’t think King should have apologized. It’s a fair interpretation of what Kirk said.

Excerpt from r6
King’s original claim refers back to comments made by Kirk in 2024, when attacking YouTuber Ms. Rachel for quoting “love your neighbor” to defend Pride celebrations.
Kirk said: “Ms. Rachel, you might wanna crack open that Bible of yours, in a lesser referenced part of the same part of scripture is in Leviticus 18 is that thou shall lay with another man, shall be stoned to death.” He added: “Just sayin’.”

The Deadline article points out that in the exchange with Rachel, Kirk was admonishing her not to cherry-pick Bible verses, since there are negative verses too, like the one he referred to.

yeah, this fuckery about Kirk's sainthood is getting ridiculous. Everyone stop apologizing for stating the obvious. It's sad he was shot, sad for his family, and an awful way to deal with political oppostion, but he really was deep down an asshole. You can still decry all acts of political violence, and certainly decry murder, while not jumping through all these stupid hoops about what a great, good, decent man he was. He wasn't.

He has a movie coming out that is getting better reviews than any of his previous adaptations and with lots of awards buzz. I’m sure the studio told him to zip it.

Charlie agreed with it because he called it God’s perfect law.

This brave man was just trying to put a stop to these transgenders and their school shooting sprees.

Didn't post it, R5. And if YOU want the link, it would be working for yourself.

Don't apologize.

I don’t buy the excuse that he was just warning her about quoting specific Bible verses. “Love your neighbor “ is the very heart of their shared religion. It’s about as far as you can get from plucking some obscure quote to justify your own beliefs.
The language of Leviticus is a Jewish priestly rule that is not followed by Jews or Christians and is among many other ancient Jewish laws that Christians ignore.
In publishing it (incorrectly of course) he is implicitly endorsing it or at least leaving himself open to such interpretation.

Kirk was a two bit CHREEEESTIAN grifter with no advanced education. And a hater.
