The Yankees held a moment of silence for Charlie Kirk tonight
[quote]Before tonight's game we held a moment of silence in memoriam of Charlie Kirk.
[quote]Kirk founded the youth activist group “Turning Point USA” and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.

Fuck this shit.
For a neo-Nazi pundit who said gay people should be stoned to death and the civil rights movement was a mistake?

I have no FKS to give with friends or neighbors who support MAGA ideology. It's toxic and evil and I am tired of playing nice. I am done with them.

I would have walked out of the stadium.
Or blew one of those air horns.
Charlie Kirk was an evil fucker.
He does not deserve a "moment of silence."

Interesting to see how this helps the MAGA come out of the closet. I've seen it on FB. "Friends" who have been silent about politics slip here. Good-bye. Unfriended a high school cunt and her like seven kids, two of whom I'm sure are gay.

News outlets are falling over themselves to lionize and both-sides this neo-Nazi.
For years, there have been a zillion memes about "going back in time and killing young Hitler."
Charlie Kirk was young Hitler. He was taken out before he could actually enforce people to stone gays to death and roll back civil rights.

Where was the moment of silence for the school kids who got shot? Or the Minnesota lawmakers?
Charlie Kirk made divisive comments about gay and black people, among others. Why would the Yankees honor someone like him?
I know we have a lot of NYers here -- what's the feeling on this in New York?

I am sure MSNBC would even say that's too far. "while R was our most successful host, we believe that honoring her with a moment of silence would elevate her to a level she is not entitled to. - The Management.

We're all fucked. We lost. They won. It's all over. They run the country, and it's only going to get worse.
Matthew Dowd, es-Republican tells the truth about the piece of shit and gets fired from MSNBC.
[quote]Dowd said that Kirk has "been one of the most divisive, especially divisive younger figures in this, who is constantly sort of pushing this sort of hate speech or sort of aimed at certain groups. And I always go back to, hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions."
What did he say that was wrong? Nothing.

Americans look for every opportunity to parade their human decency by public mourning of tragedies. Why not just keep the American flag at half staff year round? It will be interesting to see if Charlie Kirk's murder will be acknowledged on its anniversary every Sep 10, back to back with 9/11.

The best thing I can say about the death of Charlie Kirk, I have to say in Hunter language.
It was a quick death after a surgical kill.

I see more outrage over randos on social media "celebrating" his death than any of the absolutely awful things he ever said or did.
Nothing makes sense anymore. It feels like the majority of people around us are brainwashed. They're memorializing a modern day Nazi and silencing anyone who speaks out or tells the truth about him.
Look up Horst Wessel. That's what this is. Very dark times are coming, darker than anything we've seen yet.

All I can say is that it was a blessing that the shooting occurred in bright-red Utah and flaming hot red Provo. If he'd been shot in Cali or NY, or any blue state/city, Shitler would have the National Guard and Marines on the ground this morning. It exposes the double-standard: Utah's violent crime rate rivals any blue state (although it is lower than most red states, go figure).

R35 We live in bizarre times. I think that in order to survive them, we have to adapt our expectations to understand that the nation Americans now live in is abnormal. Don't join in with the madness but also, don't let the absurdity and wrongness of it all destroy your ability to be calm, function, and, when possible, enjoy life. At least that's my current approach.

What about Jeffree Star was "stealth" MAGA? From his Wikipedia article:
[quote] Star was accused of racism due to derogatory remarks about minorities. He later apologized for the remarks.[49][50] A satirical skit between Star and a drag queen was posted on MySpace, in which Star states he wants to throw battery acid on a black woman to lighten her skin so it will match her foundation.[51]
[quote] In June 2020, Star apologized after images and an archive of his former website Lipstick Nazi resurfaced. The website featured swastikas alongside photos of Star engaging in self-harm.[52][53][54]

I’m a native New Yorker. In 2011, we went to a Skankees game, my ex was a fan, the first home game after 9/11. Before it started they had a touching ceremony. Our then so called hero and Mayor Giuliani spoke, a choir sang, they even released an eagle to fly around the field! Okaaaay. Now this in 2025? On 9/10? Really? My reaction? An angry, sickening disappointment, how I’ve felt since last November and first time since the election results that I haven’t read or watched the news.

All this talk about Charlie Kirk's kids will grow up without a father.
Yeah well, Charlie Kirk had a responsibility to society and to his kids to help create a more civil society. He did not do that. Kirk had a responsibility to keep his children safe. But instead, he did the exact opposite. He contributed to a world of hate and put himself in danger--thereby also creating an unstable and unsafe world for his children. Kirk advocated stoning gays to death. When Paul Pelosi was nearly killed because some whacko broke into his house and attacked him with a hammer--and what did Charlie Kirk do? He called Paul Pelosi's attacker a "patriot" and offered to the attacker's bail.
No, Charlie Kirk did not deserve to be killed. But Charlie Kirk was vile scum. Good fucking riddance to Charlie Kirk always hiding behind "his lord and savior Jesus Christ" while spewing hate.
