What music streaming service do you use?

I use iMusic. I like the apple world so this fits right in.

I have a friend who speaks highly of Spotify.

Is there really a difference?

I use YouTube Music over others because I can find a greater variety of versions of a song I like. Spotify and the others usually put forth one choice, often not the one I like. And I find new music by emerging names sooner at YTM.

Personal experience, of course, and I am in Spain and listen largely to music from here.

Apple Music. It’s lossless, and it sounds great over my IMac 🖥️ sound system. I’ve only failed to find two songs.

I’ve always used Napster-Rhapsody-Napster

Spotify and the SiriusXM app

YouTube Music (mentioned in R1) gives you access to the audio of anything that has been uploaded to YouTube. Great for concert clips and original remixes etc. However (and I tried it for a while) there are major limitations and issues with its playlists. e.g., shuffle fails to work on a large playlist, and the sorting options within a playlist are extremely limited.

AppleMusic and Spotify are well designed and great for many things… but some artists and labels have opted out.

I listen to YouTube, a lot. I usually have YT Shuffle playing in the background while I'm reading DL.

Deezer - fantastic and extensive catalogue if a bit disorganised in parts, but best of all you have unlimited downloads per device in up to three devices

Also, apparently pays artists a bit better than most other services

I had Youtube prior to Deezer which was a shitshow of instability and app crashes, before that Spotify, but blew through the download limit in three weeks
