Ironically, I had the same thought. Why can’t Erika Slezak be on the show as Viki and also be Monica’s sister? After all, Monica was an orphan (even though we never quite understood where her cousin Lorena sharpe fit it) AND Victor Lord did have a history of playing around. Could actually be kinda plausible. Added bonus, if Viki did turn up in PC she could out Isaiah as a Llanview Gannon.

Plus, aren’t rumors saying that her character is Monica’s long lost sister, and has ties to someone else in the canvas?

Why bother tying Slee's brand new special guest character to another GH character when they've already bought her return flight home?

Guess if the show hadn't already killed off most of the characters that Monica interacted with for all her years on the show, they wouldn't have to bring Slee in as a day player to help pad out Monica's memorial storyline.

I'd give the Viki thing more credibility if Monica was her only supposed connection, but previews/rumors have suggested Slee's character is also going to be Brennan's mother.

I shake my head at the Ric in the basement thing. Are they going to attach him to a garage door opener like Dabney coleman in 9 to 5? What do they do when he needs to use the bathroom or feed him? And Alexis was worried about having scout in the house with him in the basement. Uh, shouldn’t she be more worried about Molly finding him? As for the ball-gag…my money was that Ava happened to have one in her purse.

In soapland, prisoners never need to use the bathroom. They also need minimum food. Don't you know that. One of the basic rules of soap operas.

The prisoner will will also somehow come out of captivity freshly shaven and with a fashionable haircut. Sometime, they even manage to get highlights put in their hair while in captivity or in a coma.

I think it's better that she's not Viki. She would have to explain what's going on with everyone in Llanview, and that would just piss off the GH fans. Plus, the actress is 80 years old, and I'm sure she wants to sink her teeth into something new while updating her SAG insurance.

Do any of these soap stars show actual variety when they jump from show to show?

Austin Peck definitely showed growth when he was on ATWT. Camila Banus improved when she went from OLTL to DOOL even though I didn't care for either character. James Scott never got to shine on AMC, but he was great on DOOL.

But, did they create specifically different characters?

I'd say Heather Tom showed range between her stints at Y&R, OLTL, and now B&B. Her Kelly Cramer was a lot different than her Victoria Newman.

I think Erika Slezak showed she could play characters other than Viki when she became Niki, Jean, Tory, Princess, etc.

I wouldn't mind attending the November Private Dinner with Chris McKenna and Rory Gibson in Chicago.

Yes but he was regarded as a villain so it was more tolerable. It was only when he also became town hero along the way that it got really nauseating.

Whenever I hear Robert Adamson mentioned or he's filled in on GH I am reminded of the story back when he and his girlfriend Linsey Godfrey were both on B&B. She was hit by a car while walking on the sidewalk and had extensive surgery/recovery. She banged on in an interview about how it was Thorsten Kaye who came over and fed her soup during her recovery. Must have been one awful relationship if she felt the need to tell the world her co-worker was nursing her and not her baby daddy. They broke up around the same time, I think they had a small child.

I don't watch B&B but was scrolling recently and caught a recent glimpse of Thorsten. He's morphing into Mr. French from Family Affair. I knew the fans call him hobo Ridge but I didn't know he had digressed so much since his Zach Slater/AMC days which is where I know him from.

So, who do you guys think will get the house that Alan gave to Monica after she dies? I’m thinking Jason or Michael, but my money is on Michael. It would be interesting if Drew manages to fake her will, gets the manse and kicks all the Qs to the curb. Then he could live there with Willow and Scout in that great, big house.

R40. Good thoughts! I'm guessing its Jason who inherits the mansion with a codecil that he allows everyone currently living there to stay. Her ELQ shares and personal fortune get divided up amongst the next generations. Tracy gets nothing...which sets her off!

Typical DL thinking that the only people who could inherit the Q mansion would be someone with a penis, who knows nothing about the day to day running of the house and grounds.

I imagine it will be Tracy. They recently had Martin make a point of irritating Tracy by reminding her it's Monica's house (no idea how he knows that history). It should go to Tracy. Fuck Jason, and Michael -- they both opted to be Sonny's bitches. And Tracy was the one who fought like hell to save the crypt (which is how I thought they would reveal Monica had died).

Also, won't Tracy already get set off when she sees Willow sporting Lila's wedding ring? Willow might lose a finger.

Monica will unintentionally leave the house to her sister Erika Slezak. Tracy will fight the sister for the house in court which will involve many family members and PC residents. Tracy eventually wins. Erika collects her big fat paycheck and goes back to Connecticut.
