Why does his torso almost look like a cartoon? Is it so overly edited?

Glen Powell is a handsome man. He looks like a sideshow freak in that photo. As R1 wrote, cartoonish.

Still, OP's image is shocking and unsettling because it's not exaggerated enough to be immediately recognisable as such. I guess uncanny would be a way to describe it.

r9 It's because of the internet, they shone more brightly in the past only because all we had to work with back then were the paper mags.

He's such an odd performer in that he looks quite charismatic onscreen but he looks hideous in stills.

That shirt looks uncomfortable.

Whenever I see him I can't help but be distracted by his mouth. It looks vaginal, if that makes any kind of sense. It also reminds me of Data's "child" Lal from that Star Trek: The Next Generation episode (the naked humanoid form, not the female form with the bowlcut hair).
