Booked as Tunis.
So either they booked the wrong flight or some airport employee is completely incompetent. Because you’re ticket tells you where you are going. The aren’t too bright either but come on. With all the security nowadays, the person who has too look at the id and then scan the ticket didn’t realize the ticket was of a flight to France and not Africa. Idiots all involved.

It's the other way around. Also, how is that person supposed to know they wanted to go to Nice and not Tunis? It's not their job to police people's desired destinations.

“Mommy, what is Tunisia?”

R2 If they flew from any American airport you must present your id along with ticket, electronic or physical, to board a flight, even after passing security. Because of security, the airline must accurately know who is intended for any set flight and is currently on set flight. If you never scan your ticket they know you know you aren’t on the flight. There would be no accurate record of these women on this flight because they weren’t supposed to be on it. Maybe they booked the wrong flight but then they are complete idiots who chose not to read for at least 24 hrs. This is a complete security liability. But all of this incompetence checks in Trump’s America.

I actually take back what I said. There is just no way the boarding of this flight originated in America. It must have been the change over flight in some foreign country. These women are idiots.

But that's exactly what happened – they said "to Nice" when asked about their destination and the agent booked them for Tunis. It's in the thread title, and you can hear the exact same confusion at the start of the video. They just looked at the terminal numbers on their tickets and boarded the corresponding plane, without ever actually checking the name of the destination on the ticket.

They get off the plane and get handed caftans!

The best part is the way that annoyed stewardess pushes away her phone with the Apple Maps view of the globe open. She's had sufficient!

Stupid, ignorant American chicks.
Having said that, I flew SFO-LAX-Aukland, NZ. After the flight to New Zealand took off, I heard "welcome aboard our flight to Oakland..." I freaked out for a few seconds, as I'd never heard a Kiwi pronounce their largest city before.

Apparently they missed their flight to Nice in Rome, and the booking agent rebooked them hearing “to Nice”. But they didn’t verify which country.

This is a good one. A guy was going to take a cruise departing from Sydney, Australia (SYD), but accidentally booked to Sidney, Montana.(SDY).

These girls obviously come from a family with decent money and feel very safe and protected in life.
Poor girls or those with some experience of how chaotic the world can be would have checked the city when they got their rebooked tickets.

One of the best episodes of the Bob Newhart show featuring the idiot rich girl played (so well!) by Julia Duffy dealt with her flying to Morocco when she wanted to visit Monaco.

Fun Fact: the french pronunciation of Tunis is precisely 'to Nice'

I'd rather see Tunis than Nice. Everyone I know who's been there has loved it. The beaches are probably just as good and a lot less crowded.
