r12 Just looked it up and she's 28. They got married in 2023 so she would've been 26 and him 42. That's not too young. It's legal, she's past drinking age, past the age of typical college students, and her frontal lobe would be fully developed by 26. She's as adult as an adult could get. I will never understand the trend of infantilizing grown adults the way people do now

I interpret this as an underlying criticism that he married a young woman solely to impregnate her. Creepy, but that seems to be swirling around the discourse.

R15, it's always hard to know why one person marries another, but he certainly didn't rush into getting married since he waited until he was in his 40's (although that is much more common today anyway).

Yes, which is why there's a thought out there that he only got married when he was ready to have kids and chose a wife accordingly.

Chris should have begged Marvel to keep him....[bold] Marvel is rebooting with a new Captain America and a new Tony Stark (but keeping RDJ in the MCU).[/bold] That last Cap America movie lost a ton for Marvel. Rumor Mill says Taron Eggerton is in the running but I doubt it. Taron's publicist works overtime and they are looking for someone younger who will do at least 3 films over 7-8 years..

Isn't the only point of getting married is to have kids? Chris needs to pass on those gorgeous genes.

R14 because those sorts of people ARE infantile, probably into their 30s. They can’t imagine others are different. I think they also don’t understand that once you cross that mid/late 20s line, you don’t change all that much. They think of 40 year olds as infirm geezers who should be sitting on a bench throwing bread at the birds and not much else.
