Clinical Research Study

Has anyone participated? Saw ad for a study with money compensation, that includes a CAT scan with injectable dye.

True story: I had a friend who worked an admin job at NIH. Randomly we thought she signed up for a study with a CT scan of the brain involved. While in the study, she passed out at the wheel of her car while driving (admittedly fully awake).

Later they had to stop her as a study participant for ethical reasons- they had uncovered a large, life-threatening brain aneurysm.

I was in the Pfizer COVID vaccine study. They'll give you a consent form where they will list all the potential risks and benefits. No penalty if you decide not to sign and participate.

I’m in longitudinal studies of Covid antibody levels and also Crohn’s.
