If you’re going frozen, it’s these…

R3, those have some kind of weird coating on them.

by Anonymousreply 4September 6, 2025 2:42 PM

r3 Those are excellent in an air fryer.

by Anonymousreply 5September 6, 2025 4:05 PM

Are they really "dupes"? All those styles have always existed outside of a specific restaurant.

by Anonymousreply 6September 6, 2025 4:06 PM

They’re not dupes. They’re just cut the same way as the restaurant.

by Anonymousreply 7September 6, 2025 4:52 PM

Sounds like some fattie is just trying to justify shopping at Walfart.

by Anonymousreply 8September 6, 2025 4:55 PM

I hate it when something I order comes with french fries and I can't delete it or get something else.

by Anonymousreply 9September 6, 2025 5:03 PM

None of them are fried in 100% beef tallow, so these are all bad for you.

by Anonymousreply 10September 6, 2025 5:05 PM

They are dupes in that they are fairly close to what you would get at the restaurants. They're probably not exactly alike, but close enough. Chick Fil A put some kind of coating on their waffles fries and they suck now.

R11, gay people shouldn't patronize that place anyhow. Nor should anyone else.

by Anonymousreply 12September 6, 2025 5:45 PM

R11 eats at Chick-fil-a in the Year of Our Lord 2025 and posts about it on DataLounge.

I hope you get the thighs you deserve.

I can believe Raising Cane's - it's such sub-standard chicken strips and crinkle fries. I honestly do not understand why they are in business.

So many Americans have shitty taste, it is mind-boggling. Olive Garden, Raising Kane's, even Chick-Fil-A is very overrated - although they have some good things.

I'll never understand it.

by Anonymousreply 14September 6, 2025 5:54 PM

If you want the BK Ring dupe, don't get the product pictured. It needs to be the rings with MINCED onion.

by Anonymousreply 15September 6, 2025 6:03 PM

French fries cooked in the over ALL SUCK.

by Anonymousreply 16September 6, 2025 6:27 PM

R15 - I hate minced onion rings - seems like a cheat.

It should be real sliced onions with a crunch and a slimey onion piece inside, as God intended.

by Anonymousreply 17September 6, 2025 6:28 PM

I like them but you have to follow the directions and have a good oven, or be familiar with your oven's idiosyncrasies.

by Anonymousreply 18September 6, 2025 6:30 PM

R17, they always burn the sides of my mouth. Give me minced or I’ll move on to cheese curd.

by Anonymousreply 19September 6, 2025 6:39 PM

Poutine?

by Anonymousreply 20September 6, 2025 6:41 PM

I don't eat french fries on a weekly basis, it's more of a periodic thing.

However, I REALLY like the crinkle cut fries from Alexia cooked in my air fryer. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. I don't even spray any oliv oil/cooking spray on them, and I can also season them as I'd like with garlic powder, plain salt, or whatever.

by Anonymousreply 21September 6, 2025 6:43 PM

I could never stand crinkle-cut. I should try them again. Hated curly-Qs as well. I'm thin enough.

by Anonymousreply 22September 6, 2025 7:15 PM

I bet everyone who won’t buy their groceries at Walmart feels dumb now.

by Anonymousreply 23September 6, 2025 7:28 PM

I only buy Ohio brand, they're so so good

by Anonymousreply 24September 6, 2025 7:42 PM

Shoestring is another formatvI don't like.

But my oven is pretty good for McCain anything, Cavendish (used to live on a street by that name) and some store house brands.

by Anonymousreply 25September 6, 2025 7:53 PM

We have a Raising Cain’s, I don’t like it, either. But the drive thru line is always packed with cars.

[quote]French fries kill

That link is bullshit. Correlation is not causation. Maybe it's the rest of their diet that makes them at higher risk for T2D

by Anonymousreply 27September 6, 2025 10:25 PM

*Cane's

by Anonymousreply 28September 6, 2025 11:20 PM

I miss McCain's. They had some solid/decent products. It was available in the Buffalo area when I lived there in the 90s/early 2000s.

I, also, am not a curly fry fan. This was very popular in Buffalo/WNY area when I moved out there in my 20s...new to me (being from the West Coast). I wasn't impressed then, still not a fan now.
