Tasteful Friends, Inside Bobby Flay’s Stylish NYC Home
Architectural Digest is welcomed by Chef Bobby Flay to tour his stylish New York City loft.
After more than a decade of living in the space, the celebrity chef and restaurateur teamed up with interior designer Olivia Jane of Olivia Jane Design to give his apartment a full renovation. The pair aimed to enhance the open-air loft feel of the apartment, which is located in a century-old warehouse.
Darker colors, warm tones, and vintage furniture create a cozy ambience while honoring the space’s open-plan design. Naturally, the heart of the home is a chef-worthy kitchen equipped with professional-grade appliances, clever storage, and plenty of counter space–perfect for cooking, entertaining, and unwinding.

I'm surprised to say that it was an interesting video: If not entirely my taste, it's a nice apartment and Flay, who I always figured for an asshole, seems relatively relaxed and thoughtful. I like the kitchen and the marble bathroom. The rest is not bad, it's just rather safe 1960s-1970s modern design, pricey but not surprising, and short of art. Some big colorful paintings or even vintage posters would make the place look little more personal and less hotel lobby.

I love all the black and brown, and how dark the apartment is.
That's totally my style.
It's very elegant.

I kind of laughed when he said that he was just a little boy when he asked his parents to buy him an EZ Bake Oven.
MARY! That's like dialing the phone with a pencil.
He also said that he used to watch a lot of Julia Child and The Galloping Gourmet.
His mother must have thought that Bobby was gay, for sure.

In case you all were wondering, I would let Bobby Flay stick it in me.

His living room furniture looks like office furniture.
The dining room table looks like a conference table in a boardroom. I don't like it.
And the bathroom is the worst part for me. It's too psychedelic with all of the black and white swirls. I guarantee it would make me nauseous just stepping foot in there.
I do love his little personalized "hang out room," though (the one where he keeps his Emmys). I'll bet it would be a great place to take a date, to talk, drink, make out, and then fuck!

Bobby's two cats absolutely destroyed his fabric-lined walls.
Ridiculous.

Not sure what is so ridiculous, R8.
Ridiculous that the cats destroyed the fabric? That Flay let them? That he hasn't banished the cats and restored the fabric? That he hasn't banished the fabric?

Bobby Flay is the anti-Guy Fieri.

I'm here for it. Especially like the entry vestibule they created.

R2 I like it too, the style isnt my thing, but its still an attractive apartment. The building helps, being over 100 years old

I love what his designer did. I'd live there BUT I'd have a smaller dining table. I refuse to cook for that many people. Love his couch.

I would have expected a bigger Hispanic influence in the decor since a huge portion of TV appearance revolved around his self proclaimed expert on Chile peppers in practically any dish that was not a sweet desert.
