The first thing I ever saw her in was Nymphomaniac. She was very good in it. I think the next thing I saw her in was A Cure for Wellness, which while kind of a mess of a movie, was interesting partly due to her performance. I've been a fan ever since. She is very quirky and doesn't seem to be aware of it.

That necklace looks like the diamond chip stuff at Walmart

I think Mia Wasikowska is the better Mia.

And didn't know until today Mia W. is Australian.

She's like an unlikeable version of that Shirley chick who was in The Shining who Dr Phil found pushing a grocery cart as a homeless.

I like her; she's unconventionally pretty and a diverse actress. Her looks are perfect for period dramas (she was very good in Emma next to the bloodless Anya-Taylor Joy) but she was also a hoot as Maxine in the X movies.

I thought Nightmare Alley was good, r11. Crimson Peak is the only time he's really shit the bed, imo

I have zero opinion on her (besides thinking that "Mia Goth" is a stupid-sounding name), but that's a weird thing to ask, OP.

She's been around for over a decade.

r14 she's been acting for a while but mostly in complete obscurity- playing supporting roles in small budget genre films. It's only since Pearl that she's gotten any sort of serious recognition, and at this point she seems on the cusp of becoming a major star. Im asking DL if we think that could/or SHOULD happen.

How is Maxxine? It's on my list, but I haven't gotten around to it.

A bit of an overlooked role, but she was good as a young Jane Eyre in the recent re-make; young Jane is not an easy role because the actress has to come across as a plain faced flinty kid with a temper without seeming like a brat or a sop. Goth was very good in that role.

Her lack of eyebrows is kind of weird sometimes. But she killed the monologue in "Pearl."

I’m not excited for this movie but I really enjoy her.

She has a raw talent and a natural eccentricity that works especially well in offbeat material. The Shelley Duvall comparisons are apt. I think her career will be solid—she brings the goods.

She was looney tunes in a good way in Infinity Pool. Love that movie.
