Morrissey is selling his entire stake in the music of The Smiths

Publishing, artwork, everything.

And he's still one of the cuntiest cunts that ever cunted.

“I am burnt out by any and all connections to Marr, Rourke, Joyce. I have had enough of malicious associations. With my entire life I have paid my rightful dues to these songs and these images. I would now like to live disassociated from those who wish me nothing but ill-will and destruction, and this is the only resolution. The songs are me - they are no one else - but they bring with them business communications that go to excessive lengths to create as much dread and spite year after year. I must now protect myself, especially my health.”

Whatta cunt!

by Anonymousreply 1September 4, 2025 12:45 AM

God, he’s a bore.

by Anonymousreply 2September 4, 2025 12:50 AM

I guess he needs a bigger house to encapsulate his huge fucking ego..

by Anonymousreply 3September 4, 2025 12:51 AM

Is "cuntiest cunt that ever cunted" an official diagnosis? Because it should be!

by Anonymousreply 4September 4, 2025 12:53 AM

You know how bitchy Brits can be..

by Anonymousreply 5September 4, 2025 1:05 AM

So histrionic, must be a datalounger. Denying the importance of Marr to their sound and popularity is ridiculous. What does he have to complain about? His cult of devoted fans worships him like Christ.

by Anonymousreply 6September 4, 2025 1:08 AM

Such a better crone. Outside of his weirdly rabid fan base nobody even knows who he is and you can easily have avoid having ever heard of or any of his music without even trying very hard.

by Anonymousreply 7September 4, 2025 1:12 AM

He sounds exhausting. Marr must be thrilled with the idea of never having to contend with such a miserable husk of a human once the ink dries.

How I worshipped him when I was a teenager.

What a twat I was as a teenager.

But I will love The Smiths forever.

by Anonymousreply 9September 4, 2025 9:36 AM

I would love for Stephen and Roger Waters to decide to take a submersible trip to the Titanic together.

Except I feel they both deserve to suffer more, the cunts.

by Anonymousreply 10September 4, 2025 10:13 AM

He finally has the face he deserves.

by Anonymousreply 11September 4, 2025 2:07 PM

Doesn’t he tire of his own melodrama?

by Anonymousreply 12September 4, 2025 2:13 PM

I hope Taylor Swift buys his catalogue and releases "Viva Hate - Taylor's Version."

by Anonymousreply 13September 4, 2025 2:20 PM

Mary Morrissey needs to get over herself.

by Anonymousreply 14September 4, 2025 2:25 PM

I saw him in Cologne 2 months ago and he was still sexy

by Anonymousreply 15September 4, 2025 2:26 PM

R13 - thank you for making me actually laugh out loud.

by Anonymousreply 16September 4, 2025 2:44 PM

I wonder if he's having to pay off a pool boy.

by Anonymousreply 17September 4, 2025 2:48 PM

I also wonder if a 50% stake will draw the kind of interest he's hoping for. My very limited understanding of comparable deals involving songwriting royalties/publishing etc is that buyers want *100%* control of the IP or it's not worth their time.

by Anonymousreply 18September 4, 2025 2:50 PM

Morrissey was a put-upon, cuntier-than-cunty 60something louche even when he was 25.

by Anonymousreply 19September 4, 2025 2:52 PM

What do you say DL, shall we put together an "offer?"

by Anonymousreply 20September 4, 2025 3:16 PM

"Any interested party."

Do I hear the sound of crickets chirping?

by Anonymousreply 21September 4, 2025 3:26 PM

I saw Morrissey in 2023. He was awesome and still sexy. He sounded great. He's still on the road. I like his music

by Anonymousreply 22September 4, 2025 3:31 PM

It would be great if the rest of the band can come up with the $ to buy him out. I'm sure they want to be well rid of him. I love the Smiths but Moz, who used to be cool, is now a horrible right wing racist jerk.

by Anonymousreply 23September 4, 2025 3:52 PM

R23 Well, there's only two living members remaining (other than Cuntessey), one of them died.

by Anonymousreply 24September 4, 2025 4:49 PM

I'm sure there will be a lot of takers, as long as he has change for a twenty.

by Anonymousreply 25September 4, 2025 5:12 PM

A prospective buyer would share rights with Marr, who holds the remaining 50%. That could be messy, as you stated. Who would break a stalemate decision?

Kind of like that French vineyard that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt owned; once they split it became a heated mess over ownership and sales rights. They are still grappling with it in the courts - Jolie sold to someone Pitt didn't like, and he's been contesting it since.

by Anonymousreply 26September 4, 2025 5:12 PM

Heaven knows he's miserable now.

by Anonymousreply 27September 4, 2025 5:38 PM

How many teenage suicides is he responsible for because of his depressing songs?
