Anna Anderson, AKA the Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia
...AKA Frau Tchaikovsky, AKA Fräulein Unbekannt, AKA Franziska Schanzkowska.
She and her eccentric millionaire toyboy husband are interviewed @ 10:47. Sad thing is that f they'd lived to the 2000s, they'd have been given their own reality show, At Home with Anastasia.

Fortunately for them (?) they didn't live to see her conclusively proven a fraud by DNA tests.

The husband is a big old Kween!
And the wife looks pretty common.
The whole video was very "Grey Gardens."

The real Anastasia is At Home in the Peter and Paul Cathedral in St Petersburg, with the rest of her family.
All 300 years of the Romanov Tsars are there.

The fact that Anna couldn’t speak Russian should have been a major giveaway.

Anastasia’s siblings and father have been interceding to produce miracles, but I don’t see that she has been helping anyone yet.

I remember reading that somebody visited their home and they were described as "living in squalor." Filthy conditions.

Oddest thing about the whole debacle is that she looked NOTHING like Anastasia. I can't understand how she fooled so many people for decades. I think it was a case of people simply wanting to believe it.

Anna certainly had her supporters, some of whom were sketchy & no doubt taught her to play the role, the biggest thing that gave her away was language, Anna spoke German with a Slavic accent. According to people close to the real Anastasia & her family, they spoke a mixture of Russian, French & English, the children spoke little to no German, Anna, at first, spoke only German with a working class accent & phrases, it makes no sense.
Towards the end of her life, even Anna became sick of the deception, after being interviewed by a reporter, she said, "Throw it in the fireplace, it's all rubbish."

I remember comparisons of Anastasia's ear in photos with Anna's, and some scientist saying they were virtually identical.

The 1956 movie took place in 1928, 10 years after Anastasia's death, which would have made Anna, in the film, 28. Except Ingrid Bergman looked like a youthful 40.
