She made notes about what she said was inaccurate and gave it back to the producers. They didn’t use her notes/suggestions and she just moved on.

I haven't read the article (as none was referenced), but it reads to me that she is speaking out against selling an idealized version of MJ while completely glossing over the accusations, lawsuits and rampant drug use and abhorrent behavior (and molestation, let's be honest here).

If that's the case, bravo to Paris for not holding him up as some hallowed figure when he so clearly is not.

I can already tell this "biopic" will be complete fantasy if the estate is behind it. It probably will just expect audiences to accept his color changing, much like MJ himself did when he was alive, without offering any explanation or justification for it. Of course he did eventually explain it, but only when forced to in an Oprah interview. I firmly believe he would never have said a word about it otherwise. MJ just expected the world to look the other way where his many "eccentricities" were concerned. Including his playdates with young boys. He lived in a perverse fantasy world that included never wanting to deal with any part of the entertainment business other than his crazed, idol worshipping fandom, making music videos, performing on stage or releasing music (although even the latter two became few and far between after a while). He didn't want to deal with anything else that comes with the territory, like the press, interviews, etc. That's what most people want to delve into where a biopic is concerned--the dark, secretive stuff, not the sunshine and rainbows of charity work and how victimized he felt by fame. Paris seems fairly smart, so it wouldn't shock me if she understands what the bigger picture of her father is now versus years ago.

Agree with R75. She has had time to see what a "normal" upbringing looks like. Her dad was just weird. Her mother was absent, even though she lived nearby. That was probably Michael's doing. He likely paid Debbie to sign away her parental rights because he was a control freak who didn't want to compete with another parent for his kids' love. That was extremely selfish of him. He wanted a situation where the kids had no one else but him. And that fucked them over when he died, leaving them as orphans. If Debbie had still been in the older kids' lives, she could have moved them in with her. Instead they ended up with an extremely old guardian who also could have died at any minute due to age, and who depended on the kids' money to support dozens of deadbeat family members.

I wonder if Michael sent the kids to school. He seems like the type who would homeschool so that his children aren't exposed to outside influences and realize how abnormal he is.
