I miss Fall & Winter in NYC…
Anyone else?
Every single year, I imagine fall, & winter in Central Park.
It was freakin’ GLORIOUS, & I’m so bummed I cannot independently afford to experience this every single year, as a person who doesn’t visit NY, but who lives there, as I once did, for much of my life.
I love where I live, but NOTHING comes close to fall, & winter in the Northeast.
Anyone else feel the same?
Do you miss the fall & winter?

Where do you live now?
But yes, I think October is the best month among northern cities.

I miss September in San Francisco. October in Paris. December 7 at La Scala. Christmas in Connecticut. March in Zermatt.

I miss clearly articulated sentences.

I've always lived in Southern California so have had to use my imagination when it comes to the changing of the seasons.
I've been to NY and Vermont but only in the summer. I often dream of living someplace where the leaves turn and fall and sweaters are actually a necessity.
I don't know if I'd like three months of snowy, freezing weather, though (or whatever comes close to an East Coast winter). Maybe like a month of it.

R4 - uh plenty of places in CA get winter - close to LA - Big Bear. Or Lake Tahoe even. Mammoth. Winter is always available every year.

R5 - yes, yes...I meant actually living in a place day to day that had snowy weather.
I'm like 3 hours from Big Bear and Arrowhead.

R6 - yeah, I get your point. The one thing Cal doesn't get a lot of is spring/fall. You can experience a light spring or fall effect - but nothing like other parts of the country.

A few years ago when living in NYC around Christmas time I needed extra cash so I signed myself up as an Uber delivery person (on foot). I did it a handful of times, not many. It was a lovely time to walk around NYC and see all the Christmas stuff. Even though I was working and it got very tiring at times, I loved it and remember those days very fondly. Coming from a country that has Christmas in the summer, NYC winters and christmases are very special. I hope to go back one day again.

We get Fall in SoCal, maybe not as spectacularly as in the Northeast but still there. Springtime, not so much. I came from NY and frankly I don't miss the slush, the slippery sidewalks and the rust from those horrific Winters at all.

I loved autumn in New England, but I cannot say I miss autumn in New York City.
Autumn is best experienced out of cities.

LMAO, R11!
I’m quite sentimental, I admit.
The above stated, I do want to say that there’s absolutely NOTHING more amazing than having had come of age, in NYC proper.
I had THE BEST TIME, EVER, & I’m lucky to have had that experience. I may have become a simpleton Republican, had I not.
My entire family worships Trump.
I don’t, & I genuinely believe I cannot be easily brainwashed, because I was exposed to a city that doesn’t allow one to lie to oneself.
