The Films of Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman

Friends, I've spent the Labor Day weekend so far on an impromptu Criterion Channel binge-watch of their classic documentaries, "Word Is Out" (mid 70s classic interview with 28 gay and lesbian people on their early lives and coming-out experiences), "The AIDS Show" about the mid-1980s AIDS-themed theater revue in San Francisco, and "Stories From The Quilt."

I just want to say that I am humbled by these films, and have spent the day in quiet contemplation as I'm being reminded of what people were up against, what they went through. It is just that, humbling. May the world never forget, and the loss of life not have been in vain.
