Do you like his films?

I do.

They take me back to what now seems like a more innocent age.

"Gregg Araki" and "innocent" do not belong in the same sentence.

I liked The Doom Generation. The other ones I can take or leave.

Looking at the article I realized I saw all 5 at different art house cinemas in Manhattan at the time.

I know I’ve seen the first two but can’t remember if I’ve seen the others! I wouldn’t mind watching them all if they are on streaming. They do remind me of that time of my life when I was in my 20s in the 1990s and figuring out my sexuality.

"Mysterious Skin" is one of the best movies I've ever seen.

His film brought many dongs to the screen, so I will love him for that.

Joseph Gordon Levitt, Thomas Dekker, James Duvall.

I remember watching The Living End at the Castro Theater. When one of the leads admits to wanting to go to Washington DC to murder George Bush, the audience went wild cheering and chapping.

I saw The Living End when I was a young gayling, 13 or so, as it was shown on television on Channel Four in the UK. I found it terribly exciting at the time (1994?) but didn't ever hear anything about it for many years afterward. I managed to track it down recently and found it excruciatingly bad.

Really uneven filmography but The Living End and Mysterious Skin are brilliant. The Doom Generation is erratic but still disturbing and fun in equal measure.

Love his movies. Mysterious skin and The Living End are his best. But also aways had a soft spot for Smiley Face such a fun stoner movie. Did anyone watch now apocalypse his tv show? I never got around to watching but the guys looked hot.

Most of his films seem pretty juvenile now, but I think Mysterious Skin is impressive and still holds up well.
