Border crossings increase in August
You voted for your orange personal lord and 'saver" because "duh aigs are to hi",
Groceries are more expensive than ever.
You voted for HIM because "duh eknowme".
Hiring is flatlined.
You voted for him and got Alligator Alcatraz. Brown people are being rounded up and sent to Uganda.
But the border is still wide open and "they" are still coming here.
Fuck you.

Well the crossings had flatlined for a while so there was nowhere for them to go but up. I’m surprised anyone would even still want to come here but that is a mark of these refugees being truly desperate.

CBS NEWS - Aug 28th:
"GDP grew faster in the second quarter than initially estimated"
"The U.S. economy expanded faster between April and June than previously estimated, as growth bounced back after slumping in the first quarter, new government data shows. "
"The Commerce Department said Thursday that the country's gross domestic product — the nation's output of goods and services — grew at a 3.3% annual pace in the second quarter after shrinking 0.5% in the first three months of 2025. The agency had initially estimated second-quarter growth at 3%."
""There was an upward revision to business investment in structures, equipment and intellectual property, as well as consumer spending," Ryan Sweet, chief U.S. economist at Oxford Economics, said in a report."

CBS NEWS - : August 29
"The Personal Consumption Expenditures index, a key inflation gauge used by the Federal Reserve to make interest-rate decisions, held steady in July according to new data from the Department of Commerce."
"Meanwhile, the report showed that consumer spending increased by 0.5% from June to July, the biggest increase since March, indicating that Americans are not pulling back on purchases, despite looming economic uncertainty. Spending jumped sharply for long-lasting goods such as cars, appliances and furniture, many of which are imported.
Harry Chambers, assistant economist at Capital Economics, said in a research note that the rise in the core inflation measure was due to a rise in core services, which rose 0.3% on a monthly basis. That suggests tariffs are having a "minimal impact on goods prices," he wrote. "
"Incomes rose 0.4% on a monthly basis, boosted by a healthy gain in wages and salaries, the report showed."

RE: migrant crossings :
From the article OP posted:
"Border agents encountered more than 7,200 illegal crossers this month (August) ..."
"Still, despite the notable rise, the number pales in comparison to the rush seen at the border under the Biden administration.
"The feds caught roughly 58,000 illegal migrants last August and more than 132,000 in August 2023, according to Customs and Border Protection data."

r4 so people rushed to buy stuff they knew they would need before the tariffs hit. Not actually a “good” economic sign.

These are mostly economic migrants, not refugees.
A refugee is "a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster."
Mexico is not at war, people are not facing persecution or grave natural disasters. Nor are any of the countries south of Mexico.

President Biden was held personally responsible for inflation and specially the high costs of groceries.
After one afternoon of testimony of the J6 hearings, Disney had one of their analysts inquire how the afternoon of compelling testimony would help "Joe Biden" in the midterm elections when groceriers and gas is "so high".
In 2025, groceries are more expensive than ever. I just visited Trader Joe's and spent 50 dollars and what not too long ago cost 20 dollars at the most.
Yet. high grocery costs are no longer a leading story in the news or a concern for maga or the media now that their objective of installing orange in office has been achieved.

We prefer to conflate the two terms just like we do with gays and trans. A distinction without difference, you could say!

Forbes - Aug 04, 2025: "Food inflation was 10.4% in 2022 and 6.3% in 2021. This year is so far slightly above, but largely in line, with price increases in 2023 (2.7%) and 2024 (2.5%)."
