Can we move up the date for the Oscar's? Maybe to later this year?

Oscars, before I'm, "Oh, deared."

by Anonymousreply 3August 29, 2025 11:54 PM

Who did that slut Jennifer Lawrence pay to get a frontrunner spot over Erivo?

by Anonymousreply 4August 29, 2025 11:55 PM

Jamie Lee Curtis is getting oscar buzz again for Ella McCay.

by Anonymousreply 5August 29, 2025 11:56 PM

R5 = Jamie's publicist

So is Marilyn Hack for Home for Purim.

Best Supporting Actor, I assume.

Don't count out Diane Lane in "Anniversary" costarring DL fave Dylan O'Brien!

by Anonymousreply 9August 30, 2025 1:27 AM

I like Brad Pitt.

by Anonymousreply 10August 30, 2025 1:48 AM

Notice how Amy Madigan has been bumped down to the "maybe" category, below J-Lo.

by Anonymousreply 11August 30, 2025 1:57 AM

Oscar, Oscar, Oscar!

Jennifer Lopez reeks of desperation for an Oscar. Please, no.

by Anonymousreply 13August 30, 2025 1:59 AM

Glad to see ā€œSinnersā€ getting picture buzz. Also, I was surprised to see Lopez in supporting (I thought she would be in lead).

by Anonymousreply 14August 30, 2025 2:21 AM

R4, maybe she's the frontrunner because she can actually fucking act.

by Anonymousreply 15August 30, 2025 9:06 PM

Given Buckley’s reviews for ā€œHamnet,ā€ it will be interesting to see if Lawrence retains that front runner status going into awards season.

by Anonymousreply 16August 31, 2025 12:15 AM

What about Timothee Chatroulette?

Best Actor: Jesse Plemons

[quote] Best Actor: Jesse Plemons

If, when I was kid in 2003, a time traveler would've visit me and tell me that the actor who plays the orphan bully from the movie "Like Mike" was going to be an Oscar nominee in the 2020s decade, I would've never believe it.

by Anonymousreply 19August 31, 2025 7:28 AM

Based on early reviews, Jessie Buckley will be a strong contender for Hamnet; Mescal will likely get nominated too, but it will be Buckley's to lose. In these times, a movie offering a good cry is solid Oscar bait
