Gotta love Pritzker!

He's my guy, I'm tellin' ya.

Will be staffed by transgenders only

Here are his remarks. Quite good.

[quote] I think that Pritzker has kicked open a door to an alternate future: One in which the restorative work of post-Trump patriots involves accountability for criminals and reparations for the people they’ve harmed. The taking of names and the doling out of punishments: This is now part of the larger political discussion; this is now part of the Democrats’ intraparty debate about What Is To Be Done. By including this as part of his political ambition, and broadly suggesting it may be the major goal of some future Pritzker administration, he allows us to imagine this future and have a hand in creating it.

In fact, I just sent his office an email encouraging him to run for president.

I know it doesn't really go anywhere -- hell, I don't even live in IL -- but it was worth a shot.

I voted for Daniel Biss way back when Pritzker was running in the Democratic primary for governor. I am really surprised by how well Pritzker has done as governor and how well he has risen to meet this moment of national crisis. I'm glad he's in charge of this state and as much as some folks want him to ascend to the national stage, states are going to need strong leadership to stand up to Thiel, Bezos, and Musk.

by Anonymousreply 5September 1, 2025 9:39 PM

He needs to lose the weight.

by Anonymousreply 6September 2, 2025 12:41 AM

JB Pritzker is losing weight. Even Donald Trump is taking notice.

I love this guy. I don’t think a Jew can be elected president. I’m not sure Pritzker even wants to be president. I do think he’d make an excellent one.

by Anonymousreply 8September 2, 2025 2:20 AM

He's a billionaire so that takes away our best issue UNLESS he comes out for higher taxes on billinoaries.

by Anonymousreply 9September 2, 2025 2:22 AM

A Jew can be elected president; they just can’t get the Democratic nomination.

by Anonymousreply 10September 2, 2025 2:22 AM

Of course, Pritzker wants to be president, R8.

by Anonymousreply 11September 2, 2025 2:24 AM

I wish Gov Hochul would learn something from his example.

by Anonymousreply 12September 2, 2025 2:39 AM

You poor misguided people who believe that everything Pritzker is doing reflects well on the Democratic Party.

LGBTQ+ (which really just means trans/nonbinary) is becoming increasingly unpopular among Americans.

Doubling down on this, illegal immigrants and soft on crime policies is not doing Democrats any favors.

by Anonymousreply 13September 2, 2025 2:57 AM

I never gave him a glance six months ago. But I’m starting to get firmly on team Pritzker.

by Anonymousreply 14September 2, 2025 4:05 AM

I live in Illinois. He's a great governor and works well across both aisles.

by Anonymousreply 15September 2, 2025 4:48 AM

Is this real about his "cousin/cousine" James/Jennifer? Is the other Jennifer, the "journalist" Jennifer Bilek a MAGA loon?

Well, you can pick your friends, but you can't pick your relatives.

by Anonymousreply 17September 2, 2025 9:09 AM

What legal issues will lesbians, gay men and bisexual people need to call that hotline for? To check whether it's possible to hold same-sex events? This hotline is just for the TQ+, who are no friends of the gays.

by Anonymousreply 18September 2, 2025 9:14 AM

So Pritzker and Gavin are the only Dems at least trying to do things?

Either has my vote.

by Anonymousreply 19September 2, 2025 9:19 AM

Funny, r19, because they seem to be taking opposite positions on the trans issue.

by Anonymousreply 20September 2, 2025 9:28 AM

It's Ma'am!

by Anonymousreply 21September 2, 2025 10:19 AM

R20, I am very trans critical but focusing on trans issues in our current climate is like bitching about a stubbed toe when you've just been shot in the chest.

by Anonymousreply 22September 2, 2025 4:21 PM

R22, it’s one of the issues that is a killer for Dems. The public is totally against gender ideology and it freaks them out. Until Dems drop it, get tough on crime and stop going soft on illegal immigration, they will never retake the White House.

by Anonymousreply 23September 2, 2025 5:11 PM

Unlike Newson & Pritzker, Shapiro doesn't have the benefit of presiding over a deep blue state. He also has to concentrate his mind on winning reelection, a prerequisite for a '28 run.

by Anonymousreply 24September 2, 2025 5:21 PM

r2, right. he talks the right talk
