Who's tried it? Despite living in California all my life, I'd never heard of it until I saw a YouTube video of chefs taste-testing supermarket salsas. They had several versions of salsa macha, which is oil-based and has sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, nuts, and of course chiles.

I've seen the same thing (or very similar) in Chinese restaurants

It’s very delicious.
It killed my blender, though.
It’s spicy as hell too.
Pumpkin seeds
Sesame seeds
Peanuts
Sunflower seeds
Almonds
Ancho chile and árbol chile
Garlic, salt pepper and lots of olive oil.

I had never heard of it until recently as well. OP.
My cousin gave me the recipe. It’s super thick and dense and like I said above, it ruined the blender thingy part at the bottom of the blending glass. Those black teeth things. Luckily I bought replacement piece from Amazon.

Haven't heard of it - raised in Southern CA, live in NorCal now. I'm 56 and lived in CA for 43 years of my life.
I'm a fan of spicy and Mexican food, but based on the pics and the description, not sure I'm raring to try it. However, I wouldn't turn it down if somehow it came across my plate.

It sounds a bit like the recipe for the sauce for cold sesame noodles (except that would use more peanut butter).
