Seriously I’m a fan of over-engineered appliances both big and small. I would also like a heavy duty steam press in my home. Also, heavy duty laundry carts like those used in fine hotels, too. I think these things are really cool.

The Speed Queen is not over engineered. She’s a simple electromechanical laundromat washer you don’t have to feed quarters to.

I've heard that they can be hard on delicate clothes, but for longevity and no-maintenance-needed appliances, they are the gold standard.

I think mine is too. They are very durable.

True R24 - you have to closely watch the drying cycle because the Speed Queen will fry your clothes in minutes - but they are super dry quickly.
