Cracker Barrel admits it 'could've done a better job' after new logo backlash
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store on Monday issued a statement responding to the backlash it faced last week over its rebranding and new logo.
Users on social media were quick to criticize the new logo, describing it as "generic," "soulless" and "bland."
"We could've done a better job sharing who we are and who we'll always be," the restaurant chain said.

The old decor sure wasn't to my taste but I can understand the appeal. Fans of the place saw it as familiar, warm, cosy.
However, the new decor is just all wrong. It looks like it was decorated by IKEA.

I love what they're doing.
"We have made a commitment to remove seed oils from our restaurants. We are working with our various suppliers to achieve this goal. Some changes, such as switching to the use of butter, will be implemented quickly. Others will take more time, such as altering the recipe of our buns, which contain seed oils. Our fries, onion rings and chicken tenders are now cooked in 100% beef tallow in our restaurants. The beef tallow has no additives, preservatives, or chemicals. However, we are just beginning since manufacturers are currently par-frying these products with vegetable oil prior to freezing and shipping them to us. Making frying oil tallow again was just our first step. In the spirit of transparency, we will continue to update you as we pass important milestones on our journey."
"Updates On March 13, 2025, we announced that as of April 2, we will begin using 100% Grade A Wisconsin butter, sourced from a family farm, to replace the current buttery blend, which contains seed oils. The buttery blend is currently used on select burgers and sandwiches. This change will be made in all of our restaurants."

It really cannot be stressed enough that the biggest, most overly sensitive snowflakes in the entire world are white conservative Christians. The persecution complex that they possess at a baseline is outrageous in relation to the level of privilege and entitlement that they enjoy at all times.
They routinely lose their shit over LOGOS CHANGING. Think about how charmed one's life must be in 2025 to have outrage to spare over the signage at your local chain restaurant changing designs. They live in a constant state of mass hysteria.

I fondly remember the Black ladies behind the buffet at Morrison's in Central Florida, where I grew up in the 1960s. They wore grey uniforms with white aprons and little white hats. Several of them would wander about the dining room, seeing if customers needed refills by saying, "Mo tea?"

[quote]The term "woke" originated in African American culture as a call to be alert to racial and social injustice, with early uses appearing in the 1930s in protest songs like Lead Belly's "Scottsboro Boys". The phrase gained wider traction in the 2000s, notably through Erykah Badu's music, and then exploded into mainstream awareness with the Black Lives Matter movement in 2014, eventually being co-opted by political discourse and turned into a pejorative by some
