To be fair to Hitler Barbie the only reason I know either of these movies exist is because of the articles saying they bombed because of her. The marketing doesn't seem to have been great.

She was good in that low budget Australian romantic comedy.

That should be her lane. She should move to Hallmark and make some rom-coms for the new generation of Frauen.

This is the scene from Euphoria that made Sydney Sweeney a thing to begin with. It became a meme and was on on all the usual platforms that kids who worshipped Euphoria were on. That plus being in the first season of the White Lotus made her look like she was something serious. Plus a lot of execs wanted to see the tits up close. And as Abe Scheinwald said on SNL years ago "Double Ds double Deez ($)."

Yes..she wore glasses and read a book poolside in the White Lotus. That makes her character smart.

Also, NO girl would walk around looking like Zendaya's character, at least not for more than a week at the start of the school year. She'd be teased and bullied mercilessly for looking like a slovenly idiot. I've never seen the show and don't know the story line but the idea ANY girl would come to school dressed like that is ridiculous.

I don’t think the way the American Eagle ad blew up was her fault at all. She is over exposed though and not one of our greatest talents.

Maybe lay low for a while and try to come back with the romantic comedy? I honestly don’t know and probably care even less.

She did a good job playing Reality Winner in the HBO film, though Emily Davis who played the part in the stage play (This Is A Room) on which the film is based was definitely better.

Both of these “flops” are indies that premiered at festivals in 2023 and 2024. They weren’t promoted like major studio releases. Most people weren’t even aware that they were in theaters.

There's something really unlikeable about her. I can't really explain why, I think it's because she always looks aloof - as though she thinks she's better than everyone else.

I really don’t care for her as an actress, but I don’t see how any of that is her fault. It’s just Repugs being Repugs.
