I once read an interview that Sal did with Boze Hadleigh, and Sal confirmed that Jeffrey Hunter was bisexual, but also added that he was "a creep." I wonder what went down there.

That biography reads like a tabloid and reviews have also called it out as such. Very little in the way of actual sources.

Jill Haworth was a credible source of a biography of Mineo that I read, and she’s the one who spilled the beans about Sal loving to fuck Bobby Sherman up the ass, though he hated to be fucked. Haworth used Mineo’s beach house as her crash pad when she was in Hollywood, and she and Sal had been close since “Exodus” and had few if any secrets between them. R40, what was your source for that? I read that bio that came out 10-15 years ago (the one that used Jill as a major source), and it didn't say multiple times or that Sherman was mortified that she knew. So I'm curious how you know.
