by Anonymous | reply 242 | September 4, 2025 11:58 PM |
I think there will probably be a meltdown within the party because they'll all be vying for power and influence and won't be able to unite as a cohesive force. Probably won't matter much because the Democrats are stupid and feckless at this point and probably won't do a damn thing to take advantage of any of the chaos.

Two disgusting closet cases.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | August 23, 2025 10:59 PM |
It will be all of the meanness, without any of the entertainment value.
The one and ONLY one thing that Trump has going for him, is that he has charisma and he can be mildly amusing sometimes.
JD Vance has no sense of humor, he's awkward, he's creepy, and he is extraordinarily hateful.
I predict that he would generate a lot more anger in our population, than Trump ever did.
In fact, I think even MAGATs would turn against him, because he's so unlikable.

by Anonymous | reply 5 | August 23, 2025 11:08 PM |
I can see it going either of two ways if that was to happen. Either Vance would be just as bad as Trump, drunk with his new found power, or he could be so relieved that he is out from under Trump's control (we all know he hates the old fat fool with a passion) that he completely reverses and acts more reasonably.

Yes. Because Thiel, Musk, Andreessen, Sacks, Yarvin, and their ilk, who'll be his puppet masters are a very reasonable bunch.

THIS! [bold]Democrats are stupid and feckless at this point and probably won't do a damn thing to take advantage of any of the chaos.
[/bold] Dems might be dancing in the streets, but don't hold your breath about them learning how to fight after all this. I guarantee Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries will be right there now talking about how we need to work with Republicans bla, bla, bla. Like it's our fault they destroyed the country or like they deserve any fair play at this point.
NO just NO. I am all for fair play and exchange of ideas, but that cannot happen until the Republicans pay for the damage they caused and rectify what they destroyed. [bold] You don't let someone try and burn down your house and then welcome them back in just because they lost their ignition source.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 23, 2025 11:26 PM |
Vance is a total sellout puppet. Trump is a puppet too, but he still has this false pride that makes him push back a bit, and create chaos. Vance isn't burdened by that and will totally fall in line.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | August 23, 2025 11:26 PM |

far more dangerous. trump doesn't even know about or care about the dark enlightenment agenda. jd vance's associates want to carve the country up into feudal serfdoms controlled by paramilitaries with no federal law - his mentor curtis yarvin "jokingly" advocates for grinding up working class people into a fuel source. his more serious "solution" to undesirables is forcefully imprisoning everyone inside a matrix like VR entertainment system.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 24, 2025 12:43 AM |
Apparently, yarvin is in the dumps lately, no longer believing a tech insurgency that enslaves the public is possible because the trump administration is so incompetent and unpopular.

R19 Rubio is playing it cool by showing loyalty to the boss to move his career forward, which in fact he seems to be doing quite well as he's coming across as very strong and committed in his interviews. I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a successful run for the presidency next time (even if he doesn't win).

[quote]The line of succession sucks. Vance and after him Mike Johnson. The horror.
This isn't like the monarchy where everybody moves up when one leaves. Johnson only gets to the Presidency if: 1) Trump & Vance are out of office at the same time; or 2) Trump is out, and Vance is later out but before a new VP is chosen, thus the office being vacant.
The question is, who would Vance choose as his VP? (I believe a new VP needs to be approved through congress) because that's the real line of succession.

Vance and the others are considered DC while Trump is not. I don't see him get the popular vote in swing states.
That doesn't mean he cannot do great damage before the next presidential election, especially if he keeps Stephen Miller on payroll.

It's fine to wish, but don't assume he will die by 2028. The upcoming attempt which they ate openly telegraphing to have Trump run for an illegal and unconstitutional third Trump must be taken seriously.
Anyway, if Trump does pass asay, Vance will have to act like Trump to keep the MAGA crowd intact. Unfortunately, he's shown he's willing to do just that even if in the past he wasn't. He has no scruples. We all wish he'd do a surprise moderate turn, but he can't keep MAGA if he does that and I think he knows it.

I posted this on the Trump Karma thread where his demise is also being discussed. Fits here, too.
Saw either on Twitter or Bluesky that he hasn't played golf in 14 days. That speaks volumes. On top ot the condition of his hand, he probably can't tolerate early morning heat/humidity and it's harder to breathe. Made that much worse by the heart/circulatory problem.
He looked unwell in Alaska. I'm sure the transcontinental flying took its toll. I even wonder if it was cut short because he was feeling unwell and couldn't continue. I don't know specifically about his condition, but the elderly with medical problems are advised against flying. You have to question whether he'll be in decent enough condition to make his coveted State Banquet at Windsor Castle three weeks from now.

Fuck protocol and "respect for the office."
This country has really sunk low. We may truly never recover from all of this. I guess the question is that whether without their leader can/will MAGA ever effectively coalesce again.
I wonder where the fat ass will be buried if he dies before the end of his term. Maybe in a family plot in Queens? We know Mr. Bone Spurs never served in the military. Is he eligible for burial at Arlington because he served as commander-in-chief? God, I hope not.

I do wonder if the family will opt for an invitation only, maybe no cameras in the church service because the vast amount of animus that even GOP senators and congressional reps have for the man. They've been dominated and scared by Trump. No way they're going to be able to sit in a pew for what will be a very long service with laudatory, bullshit eulogies and maintain straight faces. R103 - You can go on British gambling sites (e.g. Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, William Hill) to check and get a sense about this. In the UK. people can walk into a betting agency and place a bet on practically anything and they'll give you odds. Death dates and COD of famous people, whether some butter-fingered goal keeper will mess up an easy save and give up a goal, how long Liz Trust is going to last -- practically anything.
Trump’s swollen, discolored hand probably spurred a flurry of wagers. I'm sure there will be all sorts of fun bets about the upcoming state visit. Unfortunately, Americans in the U.S. can't bet or collect due to international money transfer laws, so odds will reflect British bettors mostly. Though, if you're an American tourist there, you can just walk in and place a bet. You just have to be there to collect in person.

Yes, the money aspect will annoy him, bookies collecting on his notional death-date. But social media chatter will only be heightened in the DC beltway gossip circuit, and that'll reach his idiotically loyal minions. It's another huge matter to attempt to field, along with Epstein. Moreover beltway diplomats who send back weekly reports to their governments will need to mention this not-unwarranted talk. And said governments will factor in an ailing 'President' around all sorts of vital issues going forward.

At a guess, Trump will react against gathering death-talk by doing a rally or rallies to boost his senile ego. He'll take a bruised fistful of uppers to get through his rant - and grace the world with new levels of berserk narcissism. I'm fairly sure we ain't seen nothin' yet.
by Anonymous | reply 118 | August 27, 2025 6:38 AM |
Hopefully, he'll do that. Because to get through the difficult physicality of doing a rally, he'll have to be pumped full of more drugs which will just speed up the death of his kidneys.
It's now a race to what will kill him first...heart or kidney failure. There's always the chance of a rogue stroke, too!

This would be the gold standard dream R120. Then to see it beamed out around the world and played over and over and over again. Then anytime anyone in the future mentions Trump the footage would be played again. And don't worry - 10 years of this horrific cunt flap and we all became mean unless we're MAGA I guess.

Absolute perfection would be for all that to happen just as he's delivered yet another smug contemptuous sneer at Obama or Biden or both: he says the lines, waits for the roars of crass approval, then nature takes its course. He will be remembered for eternity as the pathetic bitter stupid name-calling man-child the sane world knows him to be. A kind of flawless karma - we can dream.

For Trump to recently say publicly that "isn't doing well" makes me believe he has been told he's on the way out. If he starts going downhill fast we'll start seeing the pity party from him and his minions go crazy. Trump is a narcissistic sociopath and people like that are natural pity sponges. When times get bad with their health they thrive on pity from others as it gives them comfort to think everyone is thinking about them.
In my secret thoughts and prayers I envision millions of people offing themselves when the bastard finally kicks. I know it won't happen, but a boy can dream, right?
by Anonymous | reply 126 | August 28, 2025 10:16 AM |
The funny thing is that all of the MAGA crowd who were decrying Biden's mental and physical health will be the same ones playing down Trump's health issues.
Not that they were wrong to point out Biden's declining health as that was obvious too. I believe in consistency - ie it's valid to point out health concerns for any serving president regardless of the party they represent - but so many are selective about their concern.
by Anonymous | reply 127 | August 28, 2025 10:40 AM |
Biden has top tier staff in his administration to cover for any mental decline he was suffering. They made sure the things that needed to get done got done. Trump has surrounded himself with nitwits, criminals, incompetents, and fools who are even more dangerous than he is. Therefore there is no comparison between Biden's old age decline and Trump's. Until the day he left office Biden was still set on making things better for the country. Trump and his minions mean to do as much damage to the country as possible as long as they're in power.

True, in that it's attention, and he can never get enough of that. However he also despises perceived weakness - and the thought that the world knows he's definitively weak has to create the craving in him to display non-weakness.
Remember how having survived Covid he was photographed looking absolutely preposterous in his Mussolini on the balcony appearance. This week we heard him assert that he's President, so he can do whatever he wants. I don't see him going quietly.

It is an AI creation that looks completely real and sings an AI-written song in a stunningly beautiful voice. Check out the video(s?) on YouTube.
Remember "Big Brother" of 1984 on the telescreen? The Two Minutes Hate?
I predict that will happen to Trump. When he suffers his appropriate and timely demise, his minions will use AI to make a duplicate of him that everyone will see and we will never know he's dead. I don't think the MAGA cult will survive the loss of its orange dictator.
But let's be honest for a moment... The only way forward for any post-Trump Dem president would be to declare the MAGA movement a terrorist organization and prosecute the hell out of them, remove any collaborating congressmen and senators from their office, send the conservative collaborators on the Supreme Court to Guantanamo for treason, and change the Constitution and laws to fix any loopholes that the Republicans exploited. That's never going to happen. And that means the shit show will continue regardless of what the Dems do.
You cannot democratically govern if one half of the country has decided they don't want a democracy anymore.

While normally being President is a very stressful job, I just don't see this being the case with Trump. He is having the time of his life, reshaping the country into the country he wants. It isn't like he has the stress of reading or even believing in the daily briefings, which I believe it was Obama who said those things were so scary that they kept him up at night. Trump doesn't work hard, he spends his mornings watching Fox News Fox & Friends goes over the plans for his ballroom, admires his massive flag poles and his concrete Rose Garden, drinks his Diet Coke, signs a few executive orders Stephen Miller puts in front of him and then gets on the telephone and talks to friends. He invites his faithful into the Oval Office for photo shoots, thinks about who or what he can threaten, talks to reporters and then insults a few of them. He is having the time of his life. It won't be stress that kills him, it will be his diet, weight and getting angry at Governors, Senators, Congressmen and the press.

None of those people have ethic so I guarantee there will be an explosion of infighting for power. And while they are all fighting over who get to lick JD's balls, that's a good time for Democrats to step up and exploit the situation to their advantage. Heck I would not be surprised if Marjorie Taylor Greene even tried to become Speaker.
The bottom like is when that opportunity arise, Dems can NOT just sit on their ass and stay out of it like their usual loosing strategy. It's 2025, not 1985. Step up! Throw dirt, pile on, give the other side weapons to destroy each other, play both sides, [bold]don't just stir the pot, make it boil.
[/bold]Dems need to stop being afraid to get dirty in a fight.

R208: I'm going to disagree in that there won't be the element of chaos with Vance, he'll pay attention to what's unpopular politically.

Do you think Republicans will grow collective spines after their leader is dead or will they continue their destroying the country?

Thank you, R226.

I think you know the answer to that, R227. Republicans are lock-step on everything, and when they’re not, they’re quick to cut loose (see Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney).

Trump just appeared on TV flanked with his minions. He looks bigger than normal, like he put on another 40lbs in the last week.

They'll continue with what's working for them. If nothing else, their undying devotion to Trump has proved that they have no spines.

[quote] While normally being President is a very stressful job, I just don't see this being the case with Trump. He is having the time of his life, reshaping the country into the country he wants.
True. Trump is able to take the glory if things go right and to feel no responsibility if things go awry. Other presidents would be constantly in a state of stress over the ramifications of their actions. Biden was also fortunate to be able not to stress, but because of the cognitive thing. What would put Trump in decline is not having something to do.

They're not going right, and to judge from the polls, more people are starting to blame him.

Got a reputable source for that? In any case, Trump does indeed stress. Don't be taken in by his conman façade of assurance.

[quote]Trump does indeed stress.
Every time he lashes out verbally, he shows his obsessive hate-list just how much they've got to him. Hillary, Obama and Biden, plus scores of others, must just chuckle with recognition every time he goes there again. They're rent-free in his tiny head, and pay no tariffs.
