She’s a cunt.

I don't give a crap, but I despise her beyond belief.
I will never understand why ANYONE would love someone like her whose whole persona is that of a severly retarded trailer park hick.
I am convinced she is either severly retarded in real life or has downs. Whichever it is, she is NOT CUTE!

Turned me into a whore for kings congressmans and the occasional aristocrat but I got me a Georgia mansion and an elegant NY townhouse flat so I ain't done bad...

Yes, OP, but she despises people like you who can't even spell her last name correctly.

How does she feel about Trump? Is she MAGA?
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 23, 2025 7:49 PM |
That was a fun read. I especially love the tweet where they casually announce that they’ve started therapy. Shortly after that things peter out.

r1 We don't use that word here, dear - even in jest.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 23, 2025 7:55 PM |
I still love listening to her read Nellie in South Pacific at Carnegie Hall.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 23, 2025 7:58 PM |
I enjoyed her earlier sitcom 'Reba' but her latest 'Happy's Place' is crap.

R11, we know all about your many DL accounts. A regular little SCOTUS, you repulsive censor.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 23, 2025 8:02 PM |
Yeah, Happy’s Place is painfully bad.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 23, 2025 8:03 PM |
For some reason, I just don't buy the whole cute, happy, friendly persona she puts out there.
"Reba" was painful to watch, "Happy's Place" was a nightmare.

Maybe I'm a hick, but I enjoyed Reba's first series; I like her voice on some songs. I would have enjoyed seeing her in the 2001 revival of Annie Get Your Gun. I still play her version of "I Got Lost in His Arms" in tandem with Merman's version.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 23, 2025 8:12 PM |
I loved the Reba show - partially because my mom enjoyed it so much.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 23, 2025 8:14 PM |
When she has a product to push - yes. Around election time - not so much.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | August 23, 2025 8:19 PM |
Absolutely. Not.
She’s dreadful.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | August 23, 2025 10:22 PM |
I enjoy watching "Happy's Place."
by Anonymous | reply 23 | August 23, 2025 10:26 PM |
She seems like a sweet person and she has a few country classics under her belt. Her version of "Georgia" is better than that cunt Vicki Lawrence version .

See someone that no one seems to have a bad story or experience about and in fact seems to have done a lot of very generous and kind things for all sorts of people. I think she's a pretty remarkable woman and I've never really gotten the vibe that she was trying to pass herself off with some trailer park kid I think she just embraces her roots but she still very much for trees very glamorous woman who's clearly in charge of her career.
I think another thing that's impressed me about her that it took her actually quite a while to make it she is I think six records in before she had a solid hit.
She's also an absolutely phenomenal performer. One of the absolutely best most emotional performances I've seen by any artist was the first time she performed after losing half of her band in a plane crash. It was amazing and beautiful.

She's always been a Republicunt, but has supported the Gays. Not sure if she's MAGA today. Seems too nice.

[quote]"Reba" was painful to watch,
It was GREAT -- the "Mama's Family" of its day. Steve Howey = Allan Kayser.

She did a very controversial (for the time and for country) and daring song about HIV/AIDS in 1994.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 24, 2025 2:52 AM |
We don't know how she votes.

I grew up in Nashville so she will forever be part of my ‘90s soundtrack. “Fancy” alone is in my soul. I like to think she is the female Garth Brooks — a true country liberal. I refuse to believe she would be MAGA.

She most definitely supported both Bushes and publicly stated it back in the day, but has maintained more recently that she stays away from politics. I didn't do an extensive search, but found that she did come out strongly against Trump's cuts to PBS.

I doubt she stopped voting repug because of Trump. She might have held her nose while doing it. But I know nothing.

I don't remember her supporting Dubya publicly. But she did have a good friendship with Barbra and Bush Sr.
