Kim Novak's in Vertigo for me. It's almost as if Hitchcock is having an orgasm when we see Kim Novak's profile, in that dark, green velvet dress, at odds with the blood red backdrop. The way the wall sconces grow more intense as the swirling Bernard Herrmann score crescendos, and you're not sure if it's a camera trick or if it's your own eyes. That's what Scotty sees, as she nearly misses him. Does she know? So grossly erotic.
What is your favorite star entrance in a film? And why?

Thanks r1, didn't know about that thread.

Not really an entrance, but the scene in GWTW when Scarlett first sees Rhett Butler at the bottom of the stairs. The way the camera zooms in on him.

It's not an entrance-entrance because we see her in an earlier scene but I love watching O-ren walk into that restaurant.

My favourite entrance in the sexy movie is when the man go up into the man

Had to wrack my brain for anything but I like the beginning of Summer Stock when the camera dollies through the tree branches and through the window where Judy is singing.

The early morning routine, from reaching for the 4AM alarm, to percolating coffee, splashing ice doused with witch hazel on her face, descending the lavish mansion steps to a waiting car and driver, aggressively autographing publicity photos on a wooden lap desk in the back seat, arriving at the studio for hair and makeup, to finally turning in her chair for the face reveal and uttering "Let's go!"... The ultimate movie entrance belongs to Faye Dunaway in Mommie Dearest. Millions of gays would agree!

Rita Hayworth in GILDA. She comes into the frame from below, tossing her hair. "Me, decent?"

Nomi Malone catching a ride and pulling out a knife on the driver hitting on her will never cease to be funny (and it's a great indicator of what the rest of the movie will be like).

Maureen O'Hara in The Quiet Man. How Wayne sees her leading a flock of sheep, and the closer shot, where she eventually disappears down into the bottom of the frame.

Hayworth in Gilda is probably the all-time great, but my sentimental favorite is always Orson Welles' reveal in The Third Man.

Joan's entrance in Rain is pretty much how I enter a gay bar.
