"Hostage" on Netflix — anyone watching?
[quote]When the PM's husband is kidnapped and the visiting French President is blackmailed, the two political leaders face unimaginable choices. Forced into a fierce rivalry can they work together to uncover the plot that threatens them both?
It's fun — like a more sophisticated version of 24. It doesn't have the "real time" aspect, and the script is much better, but it leans into the "shocking reveal" in the last minute of each episode. Julie Delpy is great as a Trumpian French president.

Reviewers and people on Reddit are saying it's generic as hell.
I do miss seeing Julie Delpy, but I don't know if I'm in the mood for watching a Marine Le Pen-type character, especially because she might actually get elected one day.

Julie Delphy is marvelous in this, she became a middle age diva overnight. And she is competing with the overacting jaws of Suranne Jones. And wins! And has sex with hot stepson!
Thw series was otherwise ok.
