Dobson's son Ryan made an early marriage that didn't work out and subsequently divorced. In good Christian principle that divorce should have meant that Ryan should have spent the remainder of his life until his original wife died as an honorary gay person, condemned to a chaste. solitary life. (This restriction, unlike the restrictions on gay marriage, came not from Paul or from the Old Testament but from the mouth of Jesus himself.) However, despite the reward of an eternity of eternal happiness in heaven in return for temporary, earthly celibacy and the benefit his chaste example could have set to gay people, decided that that future was a little too burdensome for a young man like himself, remarried, and has lived as a public and unrepentant adulterer (according to Jesus) ever since.

Fortunately, daddy Dobson not only gave him the friends and family exemption from eternal damnation (which is typical and not really surprising) but went further and handed him the moral scold baton to Ryan, hosting moralizing radio programs in collaboration with him.

I can't find anything online about it now - it has probably been removed from the internet by his kids, many of whom have law degrees.

I never followed him - but there are a ton of people online cursing his name because he preached overly-strict parenting and lots of corporal punishment for children.

Tons of people are saying they were abused because of it and their relationships with their parents were destroyed and are either distant or no contact with them.
